I just want to share my experience at Toyota of San Bernardino on Monday 9/21/20. First of all my spouse and I dropped off our Sienna van on Sunday afternoon at approx. 5:00 p.m. and left keys and inst Bernardino on Monday 9/21/20. First of all my spouse and I dropped off our Sienna van on Sunday afternoon at approx. 5:00 p.m. and left keys and instructions Of what maintenance we wanted performed on our vehicle. Then on Monday at approx. 8:00 a.m. I received a call from a service tech. by the name of Mark and asked me what services we wanted performed on our vehicle and I said the same thing I wrote on the envelope, oil change and rotate tires. Then he proceeds to tell me that the vehicle was due for a transmission and coolant change and I told him when I purchased the van I was told that the transmission didn’t need servicing until 100,000 since it’s a closed system. I told the technician I didn’t want either service performed (transmission or coolant change). Then Mark tells me that the oil change and tire rotation would be approx. $79.00 and I said why so much (I provided an oil change coupon). Then Martells me because The tire rotation is approx. $29.00 and I told Mark it should be free since I purchased the tires from Toyota. Then Mark says give me a minute to check and then he comes back and says you’re right. As far as I’m concerned that’s the responsibility of the service tech. to know this upfront before they try and charge a customer for something they shouldn’t be charged for. Then Mark calls me at approx. 11:00 a.m. to inform me that the vehicle is ready for pickup and that the vehicle also needed front and rear wipers and cabin filter. I told Mark I don’t understand, I changed the cabin filter not that long ago and wouldn’t you think if I changed the air and cabin filter on the same day that the air filter would be the one to be dirty first over the cabin filter. I told Mark I would take care of those items myself. Then when my spouse and I picked up the van the front and rear windows were all dirty from testing the wipers. You think they could have cleaned their mess. And just to let you know our older son has recently had similar experiences with your service Dept. I think going forward we will be taking our business to Redland Toyota, hopeful they can be more responsible with more integrity. More
