The car that I had been driving for the last seven years was a beater to say the least. This was my first new car experience. I had very high expectations for any dealer that I was going to buy from. I made was a beater to say the least. This was my first new car experience. I had very high expectations for any dealer that I was going to buy from. I made Toyota of Wallingford earn my sale. I feel like everyone I deal with there does a phenomenal job. I started looking at new cars on Toyota of Wallingford's website and I was able to have an email correspondence with Ron Jackson, the internet salesman. He answered all my emails in a timely manner and was very helpful. It was a while after that before I was ready to come in and look at cars. I was helped out by Joe Delaney. Joe was a great salesperson, he was friendly and helpful. At no time did I feel like I was being rushed. I took a 2008 Tacoma for a test drive. I could tell Joe really liked Toyota trucks (turned out he owned one too), his enthusiasm helped me make up my mind. The best part of the experience was that I didn't buy the car that day and Joe did'nt try to pressure me. I wanted the VSC feature. It turned out that I wouldn't be able to get that with the all the other features I wanted until 2009. Joe was totally cool with letting me walk out and would call me as soon as he could get the car I wanted. He called me a few months latter when the 2009's came in. I test drove one and decided I wanted it, but in a different color. Once again Joe said, "no problem, I just want you to be happy", and he ordered the truck in the color I wanted. In the end I bought a 2009 Tacoma TRD Sport 4 door. After I bought the car from Joe I bought a warranty from Tony Ebanks. Tony was very helpful and explained the differences in the warranties. I went with the platinum and he was able help me out with the price. I've had the truck since August now and I have been in for an oil change and some accessories. Karen in the service department was extremely helpful. Fred in parts will help you out with any TRD accessories you need. I had a casual conversation with Diane in customer relations while I waited and she really proved to me that everyone there is really passionate about Toyota and cares about their customers. I tell all my friends I love my Tacoma and tell them to go to Toyota of Wallingford if they want a Toyota. I even sent my Grandmother there to buy a car. The sale was great I felt no pressure. The service is great. In conclusion you can buy a Toyota anywhere and it is going to be a great truck. It was the people there that made the biggest difference. More
I did not actually purchase my new Toyota from this dealer. I live on Long Island and it was just too far. However, I had several phone conversations and many email exchanges with Ron. He was friend dealer. I live on Long Island and it was just too far. However, I had several phone conversations and many email exchanges with Ron. He was friendly, informative, accomodating and always willing to supply any information I asked for. He did not play the usual dealer games with me. I would definitely purchase from this dealership if I lived closer. More
What can I say? Great people, great cars and trucks, great service. I special ordered touch up paints and misc items, and they held them for me for months until I went back for my service. Donuts are al great service. I special ordered touch up paints and misc items, and they held them for me for months until I went back for my service. Donuts are always fresh, coffee is always hot. The wait for service is at least 30% less than what I had to wait for at a nearby Honda dealer for the same service with my previous vehicle. I've only got 26,000 miles on my Prius and they insisted on replacing the tires before winter set it. My computer has free wireless in their salesroom, so I was able to work while I waited, and even enjoyed a great conversation with a customer service rep as well. My salesman Dave always remembers me when I come in. And we LOVE our Prius and Tundra! More
They were ready to make a sale and gave me what I asked for. When I went to see the finance manager I said that I wanted to make sure my payment was what was agreed upon. It was over by a few dollars but he changed it to the agreed amount without hesitation. Their friendliness was exceptional. Even salesmen that knew I was not waiting for them went to look for my salesperson. They made sure my 4 year old son was entertained. This is a hard thing since we all know how bad it can be to have a bored child when you are trying to do something like this. More
First dealing with them prior to the actual buying was pleasant and efficient. When I emailed or left a message, someone contacted me within a reasonable amount of time. Going to buy the car was an even pleasant and efficient. When I emailed or left a message, someone contacted me within a reasonable amount of time. Going to buy the car was an even better experience. All the financial papers were explained throughly to me, and he was more than helpful. My questions were answered politely and options were presented without being pushy. The employees were very personable. My car was explained to me in detail go over what the buttons are for, etc. It wasn't rushed and again my questions were answered politely and with enthusiam. It was also nice to have someone that owns the kind of car that I bought to explain it to me. I brought my mother with me and she also was very impressed with the quality service Toyota of Wallingford gives their customers. I would absolutely recommend this dealership to any of my friends or relatives. More
Bottom line, it felt like no matter how busy these guys and ladies were they made it feel like you were the priority. I have not seen this level of customer service in years. Because of our experience, we and ladies were they made it feel like you were the priority. I have not seen this level of customer service in years. We were looking to purchase a vehicle for our family and not quite sure what we wanted. Joe Delaney, and Steve Jr. took the time to show us various models that might suit our needs until we found just the not quite sure what we wanted. Joe Delaney, and Steve Jr. took the time to show us various models that might suit our needs until we found just the right vehicle. They were always patient and very courteous in our interactions both on the phone and at the dealership. They put every effort into making sure we were getting exactly what we wanted and that we would be satisfied with our decision now and in the future. Steve had to locate our vehicle which he worked very hard in doing and did so very quickly. When the car arrived it far exceeded our expectations. We love our 2005 Sequoia and the dealership that sold the vehicle to us. We would highly recommend to anyone looking to purchase a new or used vehicle to go to Toyota of Wallingford. They surpass any other dealership in customer service and customer satisfaction. More
I had originally priced the xb at Car Max in E. Haven, it was a good experience but I felt trapped be the "no haggle" price also being a "Connecticut Yankee" I don't spend that kind of money at the drop of a was a good experience but I felt trapped be the "no haggle" price also being a "Connecticut Yankee" I don't spend that kind of money at the drop of a hat. The next morning I e-mailed every Scion dealer in Connecticut that had an xb available. I received a phone call (the only phone call)from Ron Jackson about fifteem minutes later with all the details, I was still receiving e-mails from the other dealers 3 DAYS LATER!! When I arrived at the dealership Ron refered me to Jeff Baron who was informative, enthusiastic but not forceful. I gave Jeff three criteria; a clean xb, a great warranty and a great monthly payment, he matched all three and I bought the car. Jeff couldn't have more helpful and concerned and his follow-up has been great! My next contact was Tony Ebanks in financing, what a great guy. Tony made the entire procees painless and efficient. Quite often people in Tony's position can be condecending as if they are doing you a favor, he made me feel like a friend not just another client. All three gentleman, Ron, Jeff and Tony were a pleasure to work with and I know my future experiences will be as positive as this one. More

WE WENT TO OUR LOCAL TOYOTA DEALERSHIP IN DANBURY, CT AND GOT THE WORST TREATMENT YOU COULD EXPECT. WALLINGFORD WAS LIGHT YEARS AHEAD OF DANBURY IN ALL ASPECTS. FIVE STARS TO WALLINGFORD'S ENTIRE DEALERSHIP. REPEAT BUSINESS WILL BE A NO-BRAINER. More
We are a Toyota family of many years having purchased 8 Toyotas in our adult life - from Corollas to SR5's to Celica to Camry to Highlander over 25 years. In the past, we have avoided Wallingford Toyota d Toyotas in our adult life - from Corollas to SR5's to Celica to Camry to Highlander over 25 years. In the past, we have avoided Wallingford Toyota due to a poor experience several years ago where poor personal interaction and aggressive salesmanship turned us off. Because of these poor experiences, we have purchased and had 3 other Toyotas serviced anywhere but Wallingford to avoid this experience again. This often meant we drove 45 minutes one way to have our cars serviced. When we decided it was time to purchase a new Highlander, we visited several dealers. We went to Wallingford simply to benchmark pricing never expecting to purchase from them. (Unfortunately the bad experiences remained too fresh in our memory banks.) But...little did we realize, what started as simply a benchmarking experience, turned into an experience ending in a purchase. From our first contact with Kevin Wright (Sales representative), the experience was nothing but professional and pleasant. Kevin was professional and well versed on the various Toyota models and options. He was organized and his follow up was impecable. He was not aggressive in his sales mannerism, but provided timely and thorough follow-up when requested. From sales rep to sales manager to finance manager, the experience in purchasing our Highlander was pleasurable. Without realizing it, we came to realize that the "old Toyota of Wallingford" was gone and a new culture had been established at this dealership. Toyota of Wallingford won a customer back this week. THey will continue to bring customers back to their dealership if they maintain this atmosphere and continue to treat customers in a similar manner as they treated us during this experience. We are now fans! More
