Service department is not at all recommended, do NOT take your vehicle here to be worked on. Also ended up finding out that they said absolutely NOTHING about the seal that had to have been leaking when they worked on my truck! The seal was on the transmission! Why in the world would you not mention this?! I would have had them replace the seal and avoided what I'm going through now. That being, due to not knowing about this issue, ended up damaging my transmission. Now I have to replace my transmission over a seal! A seal!?! I'm looking at a $6000 repair now! I trusted them because they are a Toyota dealership and I figured they should be Toyota experts (my truck is a 4runner) and would fix her correctly. Extremely disappointed with them, not only for the incomplete repair on what she went in for initially, but even more so that any mechanic would see a leaking transmission seal and not say anything about it, simply unacceptable. I truly wish I had risked taking my truck elsewhere. I also took her there because I had bought her from Toyota of York originally. I'm greatly disappointed in the entire experience I've had now and have zero trust or faith that they know what they are doing. I caution others to stay away thanks to this experience. More

Racist Staff---Avoid At All Costs: I have had great experiences in my local Toyota dealership in MA, and assumed the same would be true in York, where I just started working as a physician. This was not the case. I had popped a tire and they gave me one quote on the phone then a much larger one once my car had been toed. I was willing to pay the higher rate, but shocked at the way I was treated. As I approached MY CAR, people ran out from the building to see what I was doing as if I was a criminal. Then I asked to use the bathroom and a WOMAN FOLLOWED ME IN and STARED AT ME while I washed my hands, waiting till I left to leave herself (without doing anything but check on me). This was the whole experience of people constantly watching me and following me as if I was a thief or terrorist despite being a well dressed doctor coming straight from work. From the website the woman appears to be Russelly Morales. THERE ARE MANY nearby GREAT Toyota dealers. Go there instead. ITS WORTH THE DRIVE. More

They were helpful by phone, text, and email to provide with details and additional photos I requested. That was important for me because I live too far away to make multiple trips. The things that could have been better. 1) They FJ was to be ready for my test drive at 1pm and deliver assuming I liked it. When I arrived it was at their detail shop and wasn’t ready to drive unto 2pm. (This was probably due to number 3 on my list) 2) The FJ was missing a driver’s side floor mat. Not a big deal, but would have been nice to know. 3) The FJ had an unusual oder when we drove it, which was hard to describe, but it had just been details so I assumed that was why. The first morning after purchasing the if was was stronger and even worse over the next few day. Within 2 weeks of ownership I had the FJ ceramic coated, windows tinted and professionally detailed inside. They determined the order is in the driver’s seat which is why it bothers me. It’s at still there but not as bad. There were also mice droppings in a few areas, so the detail shop at the dealership wasn’t great. Based on how long York Toyota owned the vehicle I feel they masked the order for my test drive which is why the it wasn’t ready when I arrived. It was the exact vehicle I wanted but I probably overpaid a bit due to their practices. More

An oil change and tire rotation took 2 and a half hours after being told it would be 1 hours. It would’ve been fine had someone made contact with me and given me an update, however, that appeared to be too after being told it would be 1 hours. When I went to speak to my representative about the time it took her 15 min to get to me. Once I was finally done, I was reviewing my paperwork and discovered that the tech found a problem with the canister that holds the oil filter and said it “should be addressed”, yet they did not address it. They are the only ones to have ever changed my oil, and thus it was their oversight, yet this was something that seems of importance but was not reviewed with me. They were real quick to go over the stuff that would cost me 2k worth of stuff, but. Or the one thing that seemed important. I then made 2 calls 4 hours apart to speak to my rep about this, but they could not be bothered to call me back. Once I get this oil filter canister issue corrected, I will never return. I’ve been going to Toyota of york service center for 16 years, without fail, and the customer service has become so incredibly bad that the experience was absolutely atrocious. 10/10 will NOT recommend. More

Toyota of York, PA their service is the worst. I have been there three times and three times not even kissed after being screwed. Its my fault for returning two more times. Today’s adventure sta I have been there three times and three times not even kissed after being screwed. Its my fault for returning two more times. Today’s adventure started by taking car to Toyota of York, had problem with App,, told to take to dealer. I complied, well after paying for the app am now told it will be $129 to find problem. God knows what the cost will be to fix computer problem. My first experience with them was buying a car, I was promised certain things, sold old car went to get new car and informed work promised will not be done or for another $1000 they would do what was promised. I declined. This seems to be their mode of operation, promise but not deliver. Since my first visit i bought two more Toyotas but not from Toyota of York. If they were the only repair shop available I would junk the car rather then allow them to work on it. I will never set foot on their lot again and urge everyone to do the same. There are many qualified service professionals in York. Use any one of them. Finally, a fish smells from the top down, their policies and practices come from one person, the Owner of the dealership. agoNEW I bought a new car 2020 Toyota. So I had their complimentary oil change tire rotation for a certain amount of mileage. Then that was over in about 6 months. Then I paid 400.00 for e So I had their complimentary oil change tire rotation for a certain amount of mileage. Then that was over in about 6 months. Then I paid 400.00 for extension of maintenance plan. I got 3 more oil change tire rotation for that. My check engine light kept going on and then going off. I diagnosed this at a parts store. It was the catalytic converter. The car was not a year old and this is what I got. The mileage was about 45,000. So they put in a new one for free. The maintenance light was also on and they ignored that. By the time I could take it in/get an appointment, the 400.00 maintenance extension was expired, no matter that it was on while they installed catalytic converter. So I am done with them. I would like to add that every single time they did a tire rotation, I would get a mile down the road and then the tire inflator light would come on and I would have to go back. Sometimes it would happen 2times. One time I had no time to play the tire inflator game and I left it on for a month or so until it was time to get another oil change. I don’t think I will buy another Toyota again. I will never go back there unless another part fails (under warranty) and I do not recommend this place to anyone. More
