Don't be confused, your service foreman or whoever it was with a blank face says, no we didn't drive the car. Drive my car as i left your store with the now burned out clutch, and all the settings i spent ten minutes putting back to normal. Actually, better yet don't. Point being that it was a straight lie, so whether you did or you didn't run my credit is kind of besides the point. Potential customer in my position who's been asked for their SS# wouldn't believe it even if it was true. I get that you guys are in the business of maybe rounding up numbers up here and there, that's making a deal. But your sales staff are absolute amateurs. They asked me to stay, and out of good will for a fair deal for both themselves and me i decided to take time out of my day. I categorically told them i'm still shopping, but ready to make a deal if it's worth our time. You guys had an easy sale lined up and messed it up SO bad with unneeded BS, in all my years of car buying i'd never seen anything like it. You guys had AMPLE opportunity to make easy money on both my trade and your inventory. Not only did your staff drop the ball, they became a cautionary tale. So I'll be buying this car, and was more than happy to oblige your team, happy to even pay slightly more than what i was hoping for, just not with your store. Take care -A

Let me start by expressing my concern regarding your perception of the events that took place after your vehicle suffered a catastrophic failure and was towed to Tracy Mazda. While we always strive to provide a high level of service and positive customer satisfaction, it seems that in your case we were unable to do that. In response to your earlier e-mails and your most recent review on DealerRater I fell compelled to provide a response including some facts regarding your experience with Tracy Mazda: 1. You were told before you towed your vehicle in the first time that it may need an engine due to excessive metal from the turbo. 2. You never asked us for a rental/loaner until after the fact and then you expected us to pay for it. We could have provided you with a loaner if you had told us you needed one. 3. You are claiming we are recommending the engine because we don’t know what’s wrong, we do know there is metal from the turbo plugging up the internal oil ports in the block. We tried to flush it out but it is too plugged up. 4. Regarding the delays, after not receiving return phone calls from you we began to communicate through email and would still go several days at a time without responses from you. Also the last two weeks you were out of town. 5. We contacted Mazda on your behalf, after you towed the vehicle out, to get assistance in the repair expense and we covered the expense of towing it back to us for the discounted repair. It is unfortunate that your vehicle suffered a major mechanical failure but Tracy Mazda was not responsible for that failure and tried to do everything we could to help resolve the situation.
