Mike met me when I drove in to Tri State Nissan. Very courteous, pleasant gentleman with a sense of humor. He knew exactly what I was looking for and accompanied me on a test drive. He gave me the discount promised on the website where I found the car, answered all of my questions, and even obtained the car's previous service records. When he told me that Tri State also guaranteed the car for 90 days and gave their customers 4 free oil changes and tire rotations I was truly impressed. I was even able to register my car in WV at their dealership and drive off with the new license plate on the car. Overall a great buying experience. The car had been cleaned beautifully. The service people had installed new wipers, new belts, new brake rotors, changed the oil, and rotated the tires. Folks, it doesn't get any better than that. So happy. Highly recommend you ask for Mike Brown. More
Great expirience for me overall. Frank listened to my needs wants and concerns and went straight to work to cover them all. Reviewing service only. About 2 1/2 years ago had my vehicle in for routine service, they told me I needed a battery, although it started perfectly. The price quoted was high, so I purchased one elsewhe vehicle in for routine service, they told me I needed a battery, although it started perfectly. The price quoted was high, so I purchased one elsewhere for much less. Taking it into the local mechanic for installation, they checked the battery, said it was fine. It ran for two years on the existing battery with no issues. In July of this year, after sitting for 7 months due to Coronavirus restrictions, the battery would not hold a charge, so I replaced it with a fresh new one (the one I purchased and didn’t use now too old). Four months later, again I was told the battery failed a “test” and needed to be replaced for $125, and I needed brake work for $600, the brakes failed safety inspection. Now, not trusting Tri State, I took it to a local mechanic. Again they said the battery was fine (which at 4 months old I would expect). They did the brake work for $140. The last time I go to Tri State. I feel like this is a scam, the second time I didn’t fall for it. Every staff member is pleasant, it was convenient, but if you lose trust like I have, better just move on. Had to pay for a second safety inspection, but saved me another visit there. More
The perfect dealership if you want to be treated POORLY, be LIED to, and have your time WASTED!! I drove through their lot on a Sunday, and called Monday to follow up about a vehicle listed but not on the lot. I was told it was back in detail, but that I could come look at it. On Thursday I was called and again asked about coming to look at it since Id said it was my day off. On Thursday night I arrived at the dealership to find out the car has never been at the dealership!! The salesman ET gets a manager for me. They assure me as soon as it reaches the lot I will be called, PLUS if I can't come look at it around my work schedule they will bring it to my work for me to look at it! Imagine my disappointment when I get a call 8 DAYS later. At 10am I am told I have until 6pm to come and look at it because they've already shown it to someone and they want to buy it! When I am confused about the situation ET says "You don't want me to look for anything else do you?" Then is PISSED when I asks how likely it is he'd find something similar?! This is by far the most ridiculously bad service I've ever experienced!! They must be doing outstanding business somehow because they were quick to DISMISS mine!! More
Completely Blown Away! To say that my experience with Tri-state Nissan was ridiculous, is an understatement. As someone who has previously worked in customers service and sa To say that my experience with Tri-state Nissan was ridiculous, is an understatement. As someone who has previously worked in customers service and sales, the way my whole car buying predicament went down, is a shock to me, as well as all who have heard. As a buyer living in Charlottesville, VA, two hours away from this dealership, I wanted to make sure there were no loose ends before traveling down to view and sign the car that I wanted. I ended up getting in touch, through email, with one of the online cars salespersons whom which discussed with me the details of price, monthly payments, car details, as well as a scheduled appointment time for me to come and view the car. Through numerous emails back and forth, for over a week, the two of us had come to a pretty good understanding that I meant business and I was to come the following weekday, to sign for the car. We finished up our conversations going into the weekend, when I was sent an email, detailing how the price of that car had went down. Because of this exciting news, I called that Sunday to make sure everything was still ready for my appearance the following day and there I spoke with a different sales consultant who informed me he would be taking over from here and that when I came that following day, he was who I’d be talking with. With this sales consultant, we spoke on the phone going over even more details about the car, trying to get a financial means underway, e.g. getting preapproved and running my credit report. The following day, the big day, to where I was going to get to bring my car home with me, I decided to call one final time before leaving, just to check in. The same sales consultant from the night before spoke with me and assured me the car would be here waiting for me when I arrived. We had a specific time we were meeting, and I went ahead and reminded him that I would be driving two hours to get this car, so again, I meant business. TO MY SURPRISE, as I was pulling off the exit to the car dealership, now having driven two hours for this car, I received a car from the car dealership saying that they had just sold me car! I was in shock! I immediately responded with I am only 10 minutes away and this must be a joke… It wasn’t. As I pull into the dealership my car was pulled up front like I was promised, but apparently someone else was signing for it as we speak. I can’t even explain how upset I was that this had just happened. For about two weeks I had been dealing with someone from Tri-State Nissan, working on the details of getting my car to me and getting financials taken care of, and yet, they decide to sell my car 10 minutes before our allotted time to meet. Once there I asked to speak with the general manager, yet another Nissan employee, who tried to console me and talk me into buying a different car. Now let me give some detail on this car that I wanted, first off it was orange, not a very popular color. I cam for the orange Nissan and no other color. While sitting in their office for a little over an hour, I was brought many other car ideas, no of which were orange, in some way to make up for them giving away my car. As I questioned how this happened, the gentlemen informed me that someone else had viewed the car over the weekend and had also been in contact with their sales department. At no point was I let known this was happening. Not the two days before when I was talking with one salesperson, or day of when I was talking to another. No one gave me the courtesy of letting me know this car could somehow be taken away from me; even after all the appointments and conversations I had prior. Needless to say, I did not get my car! After driving two hours and talking with this car dealership for about two weeks now, they decided to sell my car 10 minutes before my arrival. WHAT IS THAT? What kind of customer service department are you running? I have never heard of something like this ever happening and still can’t believe it. I drove two hours there and now had to drive two hours back, empty handed. After already sitting there for an hour, listening to these two gentlemen try to find other cars that are similar, and yet not at all to my requirements, I decided I was done listening. I was told by the manager before leaving, to give them a week and they would try to find a car that met those same measurements as the previous one. It has now been a week and 4 days and I have called numerous times and after numerous voicemails, I finally reached someone who gave very little information on anything to be found for me. After this experience I will never go there again and do not recommend this location to anyone. This dealership didn’t seem to have the customers best interest in mind, whatsoever and still are dodging my calls. I am disgusted with my experience and hope all who read this will learn from what happened to me. More

She truly did an amazing job and I appreciate that. It was upon signing and getting my key fob that I knew I was going to have a problem. I asked where the second key fob was and was told that the previous owner was local and agreed to bring the additional key fob back to the dealership. I said I would follow up in a few days and when I did I was told that they still hadn’t brought the key fob back. Over the next 2-3 months I checked in on it as I was told that they would reach out to the previous owner again. Now, I’m not naive; I realize people say they will do things and not follow through BUT at that point the dealership should have made good on what I was told. NOT AT ALL! I was told I would have to purchase a new key fob and have it programmed all for the price tag of $380! I have a push button start so having the second key fob would be nice. I’ve now had my car for 6 months and still do not have a second key fob. I contacted another local Nissan dealership to price the key fob and it was about $40 less at that dealership but they were upset that this problem wasn’t taken care of on the dealership level. Honestly, had I known I wouldn’t have an extra key fob; I would have waited and continued to look and/or went elsewhere. Overall, I love my car but this isn’t a review about the car itself. I do give kudos to the service department as I’ve had great experiences thus far but trust me when I say I will update my review if the chances. I’ll be contacting Nissan USA concerning this matter as well. More
Classic Bait and Switch STEREOTYPICAL DEALERSHIP - I'm sorry I can't give zero stars. Stay away unless you want to be a party to a classic "bait and switch" scenario. I spe STEREOTYPICAL DEALERSHIP - I'm sorry I can't give zero stars. Stay away unless you want to be a party to a classic "bait and switch" scenario. I spent over a week working a deal online with their Internet Sales Team on a single vehicle and had come to an agreement. Salesman went out of his way to take pictures because they didn't have any pics on their website (warning sign number 1) and sent them to me. I received an automated response listing the vehicle that we were in negotiations with as well which was the same one I inquired about but when it came down to sending me the pricing on the vehicle they removed it from the email (warning sign number 2). I called the salesman and made an appointment to be there when they opened this morning (he said he never spoke with me - warning sign number 3). When I showed up the salesman was acting very nervous. I followed him outside because he was kind of walking around aimlessly and he begins showing me a vehicle that was a year older, the wrong color, and had 34,000 more miles on it than the one we had discussed the entire time. I requested to meet with the manager and he was obviously as unethical as the rest. I will be filing complaints with the BBB and State Corporation Commission. Buyer beware. Stay away from this dealership. More
