We needed to pick up our Ioniq 5 the same day we were leaving on a trip. Jacob made all the necessary arrangements and we were able to complete the transaction with minimal fuss. It was a genuine pleasure to do business at Tustin Hyundai, specifically with JACOB O’NEIL, the online sales manager. Having been a customer for several years, I turned to them first when looking for Hyundai, specifically with JACOB O’NEIL, the online sales manager. Having been a customer for several years, I turned to them first when looking for a new Tucson. I did shop other dealers’ online offerings, of course, but the number of dealers with absurd markups over MSRP, dealer-installed “options,” who also refuse to either quote a price or honor a price they’ve advertised was shocking. JACOB was absolutely clear from the get-go that the MSRP genuinely WAS the price… period. There were no markups, no hidden charges. Granted, the MSRP is a somewhat elastic term, but nowadays there is little to no ‘wiggle room’ on new vehicles, especially ones that are in demand. So I was willing to use that as the benchmark. Jacob was an excellent communicator, too, which is key to building customer confidence. He answered all my inquiries swiftly, sent me prices on SPECIFIC cars that were available or expected to be delivered soon and followed up with me regularly, but without ‘overdoing’ it. I chose a Tucson Limited, submitted information needed to get the paperwork started via email. When I arrived at the dealership, of course there was still some paperwork, but the ENTIRE process took perhaps an hour. There was NO game-playing, NO hard-selling of options, and everyone was exceptionally polite and cooperative. There is a quiet, peaceful atmosphere at the dealership now that they’ve completed a major remodeling. No pressure, tension, and no conspiratorial huddles. What a delightful change of pace from the usual car-buying experience. Jacob ran point on everything, had papers ready to sign and conducted me to the finance officer (Zafar, aka ZK) to complete that phase quickly and easily. Note: Zafar was a stellar finance person to deal with. Then Jacob sat with me in the car to give me an orientation to the new features and see if I had any questions. He is a personable young man with an engaging personality, delightful sense of humor, and is doing his best to be a stellar representative of what I believe is a very positive and customer-focused corporate culture. This is unusual in the world of automobile sales. I trust they will keep it up because, if they do, new clients will flock to them to escape the nightmare of car buying that so many of us have encountered at many other dealerships. If you're looking for a new Hyundai, I suggest you proceed immediately to Tustin Hyundai. More
