I went to another dealership and they told me that they were "ordering" a Tucson hybrid for me in January. The goal was to order and wait so I wouldn't pay msrp. Six months later... nothing. When I called were "ordering" a Tucson hybrid for me in January. The goal was to order and wait so I wouldn't pay msrp. Six months later... nothing. When I called to follow up they said it may never come and if it did, it would be over msrp 3-5k. I got fed up. I called Tustin Hyundai and Matt Stone found the exact car I wanted within a couple of weeks. I paid msrp, but that is expected in this market. I wish I started car shopping at Tustin Hyundai but I would not be nearly as appreciative of them if I had. Let me explain - I first bought a car through an online company. When it arrived it had five large scratches, was missing part of the front grill, and the interior was dirty. I did not take possession of the car. So I end up at three other dealerships, one being Tustin Hyundai, but they didn't have the model I was looking for. Two dealerships later I reserve a car to purchase. I watch them put a SOLD sign in the window and drive it to the back lot. I arrange to bring in my trade in and complete the paperwork a few days later. The day I am getting the car I get a phone call, six hours before I am scheduled to be at the dealership- the car I reserved is no longer available?!?! Back to square one. Jacob, sales at Tustin Hyundai, texted me to say he hoped I had found the car I was looking for. That began the happy ending. Jacob and Jonathan, manager, were so kind and thoughtful in every interaction I had with them. They communicated when they said they would. They found the car I wanted. They sold it to me at MSRP. Three other dealerships I talked with were marking their cars up anywhere from $2000 to $4000. Jonathan explained that the owner recognized that this current supply chain issue is making life hard for people. Why would they add more challenges to their customers by charging more? I am so impressed by their integrity and true care for their customers! They gave me more for my trade in than I expected. They were so easy to work with and I never felt pressured. Sheryl, in finance, was great at explaining all the paperwork and making sure I understood the warranty. I am so grateful for they way they handled the entire experience with kindness and respect. I will recommend them to everyone! And best of all, I am in love with my new Venue! More
