I would like to say "Thank You" to Bill Smith at Tyson. I purchased a new 2013 Jeep Wrangler for my wife and Bill Smith went above and beyond ANY other dealership that I had correspondence with ( at Tyson. I purchased a new 2013 Jeep Wrangler for my wife and Bill Smith went above and beyond ANY other dealership that I had correspondence with (I contacted EVERY Jeep Dealer with 100 miles of my residence). Bill was able to BEAT them ALL with regard to both correspondence, purchase price, financing and overall buying experience. I especially liked the fact that at NO time did I feel pressured or bothered by Bill to make the purchase. In a span of 4-5 weeks I had other dealers calling, texting and emailing me pestering me to buy now at much higher prices. I am most impressed with the fact that Bill Smith was very straight forward and honest from the beginning and the purchase price I was quoted was the price I paid! I also financed through the dealership and the rate I was quoted was the rate I received. If anyone is looking to purchase please don't hesitate to give Bill Smith at Tyson Motors a call or email. I am giving an honest and straight forward answer of Tyson Motors and Bill Smith just as he did for me. I did most of the research and negotiation by phone. It was end of the year and my sales person was likely busy dealing with customers in the showroom. I was a bit frustrated initially and thought about writing this dealership off. That said, I was interested in the rare 2012 Call Of Duty Jeep which had an attractive internet based price. After several days and getting over the initial frustration for the sales person not getting back to me as he promised; I reached out to the dealership and they directed me to Aaron (New Car Manager) and we did almost all of the negotiations over the phone. To his credit; when I arrived, except for the lack of detailing on the vehicle that I expected; there were NO surprises. Moreover, my sales person did his part to close out the transaction; test drive, questions, etc. The vehicle was washed yet not completely clean on the outside and certainly not detailed. On the vehicle detailing; they gave me an IOU and that was completed within several days due to my schedule. The service department guys were awesome! In short, as with any dealer, I think you need to do your homework and look out for your best interests at all times. All of that said, I am very satisfied with my buying experience and price from this dealership. They provided a great price, and fair trade amount. Most importantly, they kept their word which means more than anything if you really think about it. This is especially true of Aaron and the Service Department guys as my car detailing was complete and they made a slight adjustment to address my other concerns. Car rental was also provided at their expense as promised. Right now, I am very happy and would recommend the dealership. My only suggestion to them is to have the cars fully cleaned and detail ready PRIOR to customer delivery to avoid unnecessary hassles and complications for everyone. My Jeep is Black and you really do need to fully inspect a vehicle before taking delivery. I have read some not so great reviews on here yet I can only state that my experience was relatively positive. Were there a few areas of improvement; yes as called out. Possibly the worst car buying experience I have ever had! Will not be returning to tyson for any vehicle purchases. I wanted to share my JEEP buying from Tyson motors. First, i have bought 4 new JEEPS from Tyson and our hats go off to Jim Kinney and how he has made the buying of a new veichal Easy with his easy to g First, i have bought 4 new JEEPS from Tyson and our hats go off to Jim Kinney and how he has made the buying of a new veichal Easy with his easy to get along with personallity and i am going in to buy my 5th from them. i always do my price checking, and go to them and see what they can do.. and thats why im buying my 5th from them. Well got my 5th from them and my son just bought his 2nt New Jeep from them. We had the Pleasure of dealing with Bill Smith for the sons Jeep and we commend him for taking the time to make the deal work for us, He was a very diligent sales Person and it seems that he not only went the extra mile But will continue to follow up long after the sale was completed. I do not write reviews on my personal life except if it will help others.and buying a new Jeep/vehicle is a long and sometimes aggravating thing they seem to attend to your needs a lot better then other dealers. I emailed Bill Smith and he got back to me ASAP, I told him what I wanted and the price I wanted to spend. A few days later I picked up my 2012 challenger without ever even visiting the dealership or meeti him what I wanted and the price I wanted to spend. Aaron was very sincere and extremely nice; he is an honest and open Sales Manager and does not conduct himself like other managers at other dealerships did. I contacted the dealership via the Internet and I immediately received a response from Bill Smith with information about the car that I had inquired about. I set up a test drive appointment and when I arrived Bill had the keys and the car was parked in front of the dealership ready to go. I told him that I had other cars to test drive and Bill offered to hold the car until I decided. Bill was very low pressure and understood that I wanted to try other vehicles out. The reason I came back and made the purchase was Bill and the way he handled the inquiry/test drive process. The day of the purchase the price that I was provided was the exact price that I paid and the it went quickly. The car was fully detailed and ready to taken home. I could not be happier with how the entire car buying experience went. More
I drove 2.5 hours each way out of state to this dealership after discussing a used SUV over the phone for 2 days with the salesman. He gave me a rough estimate for my trade-in and a price for the vehicle that I wanted to purchase. We had agreed on a purchase price and I came with a check in hand. When I got to the dealership everything changed. The salesman went back and forth and kept leaving the room to discuss the price with the sales manager, that I was not allowed to even meet or speak with. It was ridiculous. After 3 hours of this I had enough and decided to leave. A half hour later when I was on my way back home the salesman called and said will you please come back we WILL give you the price you were quoted before. At this point I was so frustrated I told him to forget it and ended up buying the same SUV somewhere else where I didn’t have to deal with games that Tyson Motors likes to play. I would never return to this dealership and would encourage anyone to continue looking elsewhere. They know nothing about customer service or even general respect for people!!!! More
