My name is James Grant. I pre-approved check for $18k. Your car was $17,995 plus an additional $899 document fee. Then there was tax and tag fees almost $400. So the approximate total was $19,200. I received a trade in offer of $14,500. So the outstanding balance was about $4,700. I had a pre-approved check from the credit union of $18,000, more than enough to pay the $4,700. But your finance guy was on the phone with my credit union and told me that they were not going to finance $4,000 of the $4,700 due. He first tried to get me to finance with one of his finance companies at a much higher interest rate. I said no to resolve the issue and told him to put the $4,000 on my credit card. Your finance guys actions were totally unethical. I had driven there from Columbia sc and I had plan to drive back. The bank check was used to pay off $579 and I endorsed the check. Your finance guy had originally filled the check out with the $4,000 included on the check. You requested that I send the financial documents, but I don't feel comfortable with that since this will be made public. I can't help but believe you requesting for me to produce the documents is just another underhanded practice to evade responsibility for your actions. PSA do not use this BMW dealership because they will lie and try to take advantage of you. I am a disabled veteran and it was obvious that I had a hard time walking. Let me know if you need any further clarification.
