I bought a 2018 Cayman S with 24,000 miles sight unseen 2000 miles away because I wanted yellow. I asked for the dealer service reports, which did not arrive until well after I had sent a $73,000 check. Th 2000 miles away because I wanted yellow. The salesperson, P.M., told me the car was sent over to porsche for and oil change, and to top off the transmission fluid. He said it checked out fine. Turns out a check transmission light had come on, the car could not go into reverse. It turns out someone had driven the car with a large transmission leak, and kept topping off the fluid, which was again empty at the Porsche dealer. The bill was $2500, but the dealer recommended a new $15,000 transmission. The service manager at Porsche advised I not but the car. This suggests an untruthful salesperson, and deliberately withholding information. It would have become my problem after I received it following a $1700 transport 2000 miles. I would appreciate a response from the manager. More

I recently relocated from Birmingham where I used the dealership there for service and maintenance on my 535 GT. They charged ONE diagnostic fee to check everything. I brought my car in because I needed dealership there for service and maintenance on my 535 GT. They charged ONE diagnostic fee to check everything. I brought my car in because I needed a battery, the engine light had recently come on and there was a parking break malfunction. At United, I was advised there were separate diagnostic fees for everything I wanted looked into. Fast forward to my quote, after all was said and done. I was told that my repairs would be over $10,000 and my options were to get the repairs because i would not pass inspection without them OR trade the car in. I’ve had BMW’s for a while and by no means did i think I’d get out without paying less than a few thousand $$ but $10k?!?! I did go ahead and get the battery changed but did some research and DROVE (yes, it drove just fine) my car to Solo Motorsports (highly rated certified German car specialists). They did their diagnosis and found several of the big items United stated I needed, such the valvtronic motor completely being replaced was not the case. The readings were fine, I only needed a gasket!. The ONLY thing that United seemed to get right was that my parking break actuator needed to be replaced. A well over $10000 ticket was $4000 and my car is driving beautifully. Highly disappointed w United and this new to GA girl will not be back! More
