We searched several dealerships, looking for the right used vehicle for my college-aged son. We were replacing a 2000 Jeep, and he really wanted something similar. We located a 2008 Jeep on the internet at Universal Nissan. I filled out the web based form to be contacted and received a quick response from Eduardo, who asked me to let him know the best time to reach me. We spoke the next day and he answered my questions and set up an appointment to come in and see the vehicle. The dealership is in the process of remodeling so they are working out of a temporary location, but they did everything possible to make us feel welcome. Very friendly, very courteous, free Pepsi fountain drinks while you wait. We took a test drive, worked out the details, and made a purchase. The entire process went very smoothly and my son was very pleased. Ed was very helpful and professional throughout the process, and Hiram in the finance department was also very easy to work with. I would recommend anyone in the market for a new or pre-owned vehicle take a look at the Universal Nissan web site, and set up an appointment with Ed. This is much better than walking up to the dealership and being approached by the first salesman who sees you because Ed will already have some idea what you are interested in and he will be prepared for your visit. After dealing with just about every Nissan dealer within 100 miles of our house, this is where we ended up buying. We had just come from another dealer with a terrible experience. Eduardo was ready for us to arrive and already had the keys to the one we wanted in his hands. He walked us to the car to look at it and prepare for a test drive. In his hand he already had a price, which was lower than the MSRP. Although not as low as I was going to go to buy, it showed me right away he was prepared to offer us a great price, without the hassle that the other dealers were. After some haggling, which is par for the course if you want the best price, we agreed on a price. We were there for about 4 hours, but they were super busy. In fact, after we were done with the price Eduardo made sure we were next inline to see the Finance Manager. The Finance Manager was a bit hard to undestand because he spoke extremely low, but he worked very quickly. After we purchased the car we got something we rarely see from a dealer... customer service. Eduardo sat down with us to go over all of the booklets and all the buttons on the car. He wanted to make sure that when we left we knew what to do with the car when we left the lot. Today is only day two, but I have a feeling Eduardo will be calling us today to thank us again. He seemed like that is the type of personality he has. He was extremely knowledgeable, which is also VERY rare in this industry. He knows everything there is about his brand of cars, and he doesn't BS you. He's there to make money, and I get that, but we also felt he was there to get us the best value and treat us with respect. I buy a new car every couple of years, and this was one of the better experiences. More
