This is the second vehicle we purchased from Valley Imports, our first vehicle was a brand new 2011 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen, our current purchase was a used Mazda CX-9. Both vehicles were found online using the Valley Imports website and both times Erik Swenson was our salesman. Erik was a pleasure to deal with, he is very knowledgable about the vehicles he sells and he goes the extra mile to ensure his customers are satisfied. We live in Northwest Minnesota about 160 miles from Fargo, with our first vehicle purchase Erik arranged to meet us in Grand Forks so we wouldn't have to make the trip all the way to Fargo. Erik had all the paperwork with him and completed, all I had to do was take the car for a test drive and sign a few documents. From start to finish it took about thirty minutes, that's including the test drive! With our second purchase we needed to go to Valley Imports because we were trading in an older vehicle and to get us the best trade in value it had to be evaluated at the dealership. My work schedule wouldn't allow me to make it to Fargo before the dealership closed so Erik arranged for himself and Dave Hawkinson the business manager to stay late until I was able to get there, inspect the the vehicle, take it for a test drive and complete the paperwork. I received more money for my trade in than I was offered from dealerships in Grand Forks and I paid over five thousand dollars less than KBB value on the vehicle I purchased!! Erik and I met via the internet after I filled in a Mercedes info form. After meeting with Erik in person my wife and I knew we were not dealing with the "typical" car sales type. It was my first visit to Valley Imports. My son turned 16 and he is driving my car to school. I needed a car, and as someone who lived in Europe for many years, I thought about having a German car. I was welcomed by a cheering gentleman who immediately put me at ease; that was Erik Swenson. I showed an interest in a Jetta. He immediately informed me about the qualities of the car and gave me a tour to see the available cars. He talked to me about the various options between buying a used Jetta, a new Jetta or a different car that Valley sells. Erik was very friendly, seems to know about cars, and asked all my questions. I felt like I was dealing with a friend I know for many years. I immediately trusted him and decided to make the deal. What amazes me really is that after a few days of my visit and when the car I asked for was available, I had the pleasant surprise to get my car delivered by Erik to me at Grand Forks where I live. I didn't have to drive to Fargo and paperwork was promptly prepared by Erik in advance. I have never dealt with someone as professional, friendly, knowledgeable as Erik. I am sure if you meet Erik and deal with him you will find him a pleasant to deal with person. I will highly recommend his services to my friends. Everyone at Valley Imports is great! My last two new cars came from Valley – 2007 Volkswagen GTI MkV and 2011 Audi S4 – and I had the joy of working with Erik Swenson both times. Erik is a great person to work with – low pressure, helpful, gets what you want (or does everything in his power to do so), and he keeps you in the loop the whole time. He’s a nice guy, too. That always helps! The service department at Valley is top notch, too. I put a lot of miles on my car (had 156K miles on the 2007 GTI when I traded it in towards the 2011 Audi S4) so I see the folks in the service department more than most other drivers. Zach and Michelle are always helpful and go out of their way to make your service experience as perfect as possible. There are a lot of car dealerships out there, but there are very few places that offer world-class service from start to finish. Valley Imports is clearly one of these places. Erik, Zach, Michelle, and everyone else at Valley Imports strive to make yours a trouble-free experience – I would absolutely recommend friends, family, or anyone else look to Valley Imports for their next vehicle purchase or service.
