Easy, No Hassle Service Marcia & her team were great - very upfront with what my car needed to be back in tip top shape and through on explaining the costs and options to me Marcia & her team were great - very upfront with what my car needed to be back in tip top shape and through on explaining the costs and options to me over the phone. They were communicative through the repair process and made sure to ask before performing simple services like light bulb changes. Great team, will definitely be back with my Jetta in the future. Great Car, Bad Dealership DO NOT buy or lease a car at VW Van Nuys! My car is great and VW Corporate was patient but could do little since the lease was signed (but my issues w DO NOT buy or lease a car at VW Van Nuys! My car is great and VW Corporate was patient but could do little since the lease was signed (but my issues were so extensive VW corporate sent me a gift card). I've leased 6 cars since 1994. I do my homework. I checked pricing with TrueCar, calculated the residual value and money factor. I talked everything over with Edmunds before finally leasing (Edmunds has an excellent service to assist car buyers.) My last lease with Subaru Van Nuys was extremely fair. But the number of ways this VW dealership team manipulated me and outright lied to me is too long to list here. I even have multiple texts with the salesperson with one offer that was later rescinded in a later text. Yes, I signed the lease, and I am ultimately responsible, but I was so misled and steamrolled, all my knowledge and research went out the window. They switched between pricing, lease payments and add-ons to confound me. Six people descended upon me at any given time and completely overwhelmed me. This could have been an episode of "Criminal Minds." Here are only a few of the tricks they pulled. Bait and Switch: Said they had the car I wanted in stock. Arrived at dealership one hour later to be told they only had it with NAV (extra $1000). Salesman insisted I come in at noon as he had 4 other appointments that day (no one else came into dealership in the 4 hours they barraged me). And yes, they cornered me in Finance for 4 hours. While in Finance, the subterfuge got worse. More people stealing my attention with more papers. WHILE in finance, they added door trim and handed me a Due Bill for $499. They insisted it was already on the car but it was not on the attached dealer sticker where the other dealer add-ons WERE listed (by law it has to be). They did not disclose a $1000 rebate and worked in more extras so I did not get it. They literally would not let me leave until I agreed to buy a service plan. They gave me a "discount and lowest price" on "VW Care Plus" of $699. Note: the most expensive "VW Care Plus" plan is $509, and it's for 5 years, and only for the eGolf. (I leased a Jetta for 3 years!) You can find this pricing on line. Luckily I had 30 days to cancel the service plan. I went back to the dealership and canceled it, but the manager would not take if off until the end of the 3 year lease). I addressed the $499 door trim. No way was he budging. Once again, I have to take responsibility for -- first -- not trusting my instincts while working with the dealership before I came in to finally lease the car. And in hindsight, it would have been wise to take a friend who was not emotionally invested. And I certainly wish now I had chosen another dealership where this exact car was advertised for $159/month lease, half of what my payments are. Finally, I asked multiple times about Gap Insurance. I was told that not only DO I have gap insurance, but that they would pay my $1000 deductible. I had the car 6 weeks and a tree branch landed on my car. I'll leave it up to you to decide if they were true to their word. More

I recently had my car serviced at this dealership. It was a 10,000 mile service and they rotated my tires. I just recently discovered a huge scratch on my hubcap in an area that touches the tire. Basically i a 10,000 mile service and they rotated my tires. I just recently discovered a huge scratch on my hubcap in an area that touches the tire. Basically it's an edge or area of the hubcap that is on the inside near the tire, so logically the only way to scratch it is if the hubcap was removed. I went to the dealership to discuss it and the service rep tried to tell me it was done by a curb and he basically ARGUED this point. Never once assuming that maybe it did happen when they removed my caps. Then the service manager Tom, came out and tried to convince me that it happened when I hit a pot hole...he agreed it couldn't happen via curb, but insisted it happened hitting a pot hole. According to this theory, my tire would've gone completely flat, in turn scratching the edge of the hubcap!! Doesn't seem to make any sense at all...especially since my tire is completely fine and in fact pretty new looking. Convenient for them that they try any possible way to make it seem like they didn't do it. They said there was absolutely no way they could've done it. REALLY!! They can be 100% certain I did it, without any proof or logic, but there's NO WAY that they did it. Worst service department I have ever encountered!! And if you have your car serviced here, I would definitely make sure you inspect it when you get it back. More
Even though purchasing a car is one of my least favorite endeavors, Van Nuys Volkswagon made it a pleasurable, seamless process.
