Vandergriff likes to play games. I drove two hours to look at an Acura TSX I saw advertised online. The car was nice, and I decided to begin negotiations on the car. This is where the story went sour... the advertised price was one figure online, but when it came time to purchase the car, they had added twenty-five hundred dollars of "options" to the car. When I asked about these options, the salesman said "well, they're already on the car." Umm, hello, what about the advertised price? Isn't that false advertising? Finally the sales manager came out and he said he didn't want to remove the options because it was a "special" car that the mayor's son owned. Baffled, I pointed to the online price on my phone. They came back, with all the options removed, but now my trade-in was suddenly worth less money. If you don't like playing games, like me, especially after scheduling an appointment and you live two hours away, just skip Vandergriff Acura. You can eventually find yourself a used car with a more pleasant experience at a more honest/transparent dealership if you avoid Vandergriff during your search. More

Our entire experience with each of the four people we worked with was incredible. Clifton McCarley, Stan Bennett, Russel, and Jerry. Our service adviser Clifton who was very professional, honest and down to earth got my car in and out for the airbag replacement. We told him we were hesitant to even look at vehicles because we didn’t want pressured into something we couldn’t afford or weren’t happy with. He suggested talking to Stanley Bennett who listened to what we wanted, and asked questions to get a better idea of what we were looking for. We looked at many vehicles. He never once tried to sway our opinion on our car but instead listened to what we did or didn’t like about what we looked at and I found a car that I love even more than the last one. Russel, the sales manager who is a wizard with numbers almost matched my current payment for a car that is newer with less miles and had the interior I wanted. It took us some time to make up our mind and then changing it several times but neither of them ever showed any impatience or frustrations. We apologized many times for making them run around changing our minds so much. We signed with Jerry who answered all of our questions about the contract and what was included. He was very straight forward and nothing had changed. Not hidden costs or fees. The payment and the warranty were just as Stan and Russel had said they would be. Upon processing our car loan, they noticed we had the truck payment on the loan and asked us about it. At first my husband was hesitant but after Stan asked what he used it for. He asked my husband if he wanted to test drive an SUV either the MDX or the RDX. They both have better fuel economy and lots of cargo space for what he needed. We went with the RDX but after a few days in the rainy roads of Texas my husband wanted something more comfortable and that also had AWD. Stan helped us return the RDX and purchased the MDX for the same payment. They gave us excellent trade-in value for the truck and my husband hasn't thought once about his truck since he has had the MDX. They have earned customers for life! Everyone was amazing and i didn't know this level of customer service still existed. More
