We pride ourselves on being transparent and up front on all levels. This vehicle was indeed priced incorrectly and since our vehicle's discounts are priced manually based on the monthly manufacturer incentives, mistakes can and do happen, unfortunately. The sales person's explanation is correct and the vehicle's MSRP is automatically displayed based on the VIN (VIN decoding) which is why this vehicle is shown for $42,375. We cannot change the MSRP manually and because this is a "special edition", we ask that you inquire with us for it's special price (in the Dealer Notes). We also make sure our disclosures/disclaimers are legible and open on every vehicle description page as extra protection for human errors like this. We will check with our website provider to be sure there is no need to click on anything to view the disclaimer. You are correct, we live in a time where everyone is forced to shop online which is why we do our best to make things as clear as possible so you are comfortable shopping online, but nevertheless, we apologize for the oversight. There was no attempt to resolve this issue at the time when it counts, this was basically a “ oops we messed up, it is what it is” situation. The response is also a very good way of explaining away the situation. You should be responsible for what you advertise and the prices that you post or else this seems like a bait and switch. This vehicle was recently reviewed for the discount that I mentioned. But that discount automatically disappears an hour after I request an out the door price. Nevertheless this was my experience and it left a very bad taste for the car buying experience with your dealership. The point of this was to share a customers point of view and let others Judge as they may. You should work allot harder at price transparency. I’m currently working with a dealer north of you and they honored their online price.
