Incomplete careless car service My car died while I was waiting in the cellphone lot at Hopkins Airport for a friend's plane to arrive, so I called AAA, and they came and said I need My car died while I was waiting in the cellphone lot at Hopkins Airport for a friend's plane to arrive, so I called AAA, and they came and said I needed a new battery. They asked how far I was going, and when they I told them that after picking up my friend, I planned go directly to Toyota for a new battery, they gave me enough of a charge to get me going, but told me not to turn the car off until I got to you. I chose to come to you, because not only were you near the airport, I knew Metro very well after having purchased my past two Toyotas from you, and on occasion, also had them serviced by you, despite my living on the east side, in Shaker Heights. Your intake people were very nice and after I paid the bill, we went on our way. Unfortunately, though, when we were most of the way home, the car began "bucking" and the idling became very rough. We thought about going back, but because we hadn't eaten anything all day, and we had tickets to the Cleveland Orchestra, we realized that it was too late to return to you, eat something, get dressed, and still make it to the concert on time; so this morning, we ended up at Alternative Solutions, where Tom Weeks told us that your technician neglected to perform a step that's necessary in order to reset the car's computer when a battery gets changed. So I told Tom to do whatever was needed, (He cleaned the throttle body, and reset the computer.) and I ended up paying him for the work that you folks were supposed to have done, but didn't; and the car has been running beautifully ever since. Needless to say, while I'm realistic enough to expect to pay for work I contract for, I'm not happy to pay twice for work that I thought had already been done as part of this installation. I cannot help but regard this as carelessness, and therefore, the quality of this work doesn't inspire confidence, nor is it worthy of recommendation by me to friends, family, or acquaintances. More
