I'm writing this with growing concern about the 2022 Tacoma I purchased from Village Pointe , specifically the bumper cover on the passenger-side fender/headlight area. I have not received any follow-up since Friday, June 13 at 11:26 a.m. I first called on Monday, June 9 at 11:10 a.m. asking for Terry—not to bypass anyone, but because when I purchased the Tacoma 5.5 months ago (12/20/24), both Terry and Lane said I could contact them with any concerns, as they know the vehicle well as it belonged to Terry’s son (Lane’s brother). Since Terry wasn’t available on 6/9, I was transferred to John Foster. He was kind and helpful. I explained the bumper cover was detaching, creating a gap where the plastic meets the steel fender below the passenger headlight. John asked me to bring the truck in the next morning and said to ask for Jake and they'd get it taken care of. I arrived at Village Pointe Toyota on Tuesday, June 10 around 8:40 a.m. Lucas greeted me and took my keys. After about 1 hour and 20 minutes, he came to the waiting area and told me the Tacoma had been sent to Calibur Collision shop just a couple weeks before I bought it for the same bumper issue—and their repair had obviously failed. Lucas reassured me, “ Don't worry, we’re going to take care of you,” and said he’d contact Jake and Calibur so we could move forward. I asked more about the visit to Calibur. Lucas confirmed it was for the same issue of the bumper sagging. While I appreciated the honesty, this raised concerns. The vehicle history report V.P. provided showed no damage or red flags. Both Lane and Terry emphasized the truck was well maintained, used for normal commuting, and in excellent condition. That assurance was central to my decision. So my first concern: Why did the truck need collision repair if it was said to be “clean” and I was told it had never been in an accident? What caused the bumper issue in the first place? Lucas had said that Village Pointe would handle sending the truck back to Calibur after they get a time set up for me. I left that day trusting someone would follow up with a repair date. To his credit, Lucas followed up three times between June 10–13. He said Calibur was slow to respond and later claimed Calibur wouldn’t take responsibility. He said he escalated it to Terry and Joel and would call back. That was the last I heard—from anyone—on June 13. On Monday, June 16, I called for an update , I asked for Lucas—he was busy. I asked for John—he wasn’t in. I was transferred to Colton, who said Terry was on the phone and would pass along the message to him and someone would call me back. No response. Worried, I took the truck to a body shop near my workplace. The technician immediately noted prior damage and got a flashlight and showed me yellow mapping marks on the inner bumper fasteners—yellow shop marker that is used to mark broken parts, He also pointed out a non-automotive bolt in one fastener, calling it a “band-aid fix.” He asked if I’d been informed of prior front-end damage. I hadn’t. That was alarming. I trusted Village Pointe when I wrote that $32,500 check. I was led to believe the truck was undamaged and clean. Now I’m concerned about undisclosed damage, poor repairs, and what else may be hidden. Was this just a bumper issue, a ding or bump that was only cosmetic—or was there front-end collision damage? All I ask is that the bumper be properly repaired—just as was stated to me on June 10. I'm not being unreasonable. I want to trust Village Pointe again. I even left a 5-star review after my purchase because I believed in your team’s integrity. But the silence since June 13, coupled with what I’ve since learned about the truck, has left me feeling misled. I understand I didn’t buy a brand-new vehicle, and I may not be your highest-ticket customer, but that Tacoma was a significant investment for me. I’ve kept it immaculate as I'm sure your team can attest to when I brought it there Tuesday. I'm not asking for much. More

Village pointe Toyota is the place to be! I don’t even know where to begin Lane and Zach took care of us right away at the dealership! From the minute of walking around the vehicle to the test drive our salesman was so respectful saying yes sir and no ma’am the whole time. I kept asking him to stop saying that sir bur when he explained that he was a military man I knew right from the start we had a good one. It takes a lot to serve your country for people who may not care that you do so. He delivered the car to our house and my wife and I feel like we adopted a son while simultaneously buying a car. I’m so grateful for everything you guys did and I will be be telling everyone that you need to go to village Pointe Toyota and ask for Lane and Zach!! Keep up the great work you guys I can’t imagine a better place to buy a vehicle. I could talk about you guys for another 2 pages but I will leave you with this I’ll be back buying a car from you guys and when I do I hope it’s from Zach. More
