Great Customer service, my sales rep Carlos was very professional and very knowledgeable about vehicle. I have purchased vehicles before and this was best experience I have had. Did not get pressured or professional and very knowledgeable about vehicle. I have purchased vehicles before and this was best experience I have had. Usually car buying isn’t the best way to spend an afternoon but this was actually enjoyable. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. As soon as we arrived at Village point Toyota, Christian came over welcoming and inviting us to have a conversation. I am not a person that will write view but this time I have to. this is based on honesty. worse experience we ever had with Toyota dealer. we are a lifelong Toyota brand. if 0 is an option, I will give 0. have to. this is based on honesty. worse experience we ever had with Toyota dealer. we are a lifelong Toyota brand. if 0 is an option, I will give 0. my husband and I went from MN to buy a Toyota tundra 2022 from Village Pointe. We deal with Jose R. the salesman. everything was great with Jose. Finance was partially done pervious to our arrival. Spoke to Dave (senior finance manager), he said with our great credit score, there shouldn't be any issue. when we arrived, Jose took care of us with a test drive and sales stuff. The finance guy (forgot his name) took our information. after waiting 1 hour, the finance guy took us to his room, straight asks us to buy their coverage package instead of going through anything about the finance paper. we denied all packages. He walked out of the room and told John (another finance person) to come in and talk to us. the first word John asked us was, "so, you don't want to buy the car?". we were confused and said, "we are buying the car, just not the package". John then trying to push us to buy package over and over. As for us, we only want to go through the finance paper and leave because we have to drive back home. John then points out on the package that with package and the interest rate of 8.93% we will only pay XX from without package. That was the point we were shocked, INTEREST RATE 8.93% for a new car and for a great credit score person while national wide and even Village Pointe website stating, "Toyota Tundra rate of 3.49% for 60 months". my husband was mad and said the place rip us off and he wants they number so he can report to Toyota of the interest rate. John then flips and fight hard with my husband stating, "so you said we should not make any money selling cars?". my husband was ready to walk off, but I had to calm both John and my husband down. John called my husband that he is threating John, but John will not get us walk off angry. I explained to John, we didn't expect the interest rate to be that high and also their own website stated that a 2022 tundra interest rate is only 3.49%. John pretends like he didn't know about the interest rate but later told us, the 3.49% was just change on 9/6/2022 from 2.99%. he asks if we even talk to anyone about the interest rate. we told him, "no one talks to us about interest rate or finance. all they did was take our information. we are still waiting to see what the finance person is going to show us. we assume the interest rate will be what they posted on on their website and with Toyota national rate". John then spoke to other people and came back to change the rate of 3.49%. let me tell you, this is a rip off. if we don't do our homework, John or this dealer will trying to rip us off. they either think because we are Asian or come from out of state, we were dumb. John even said that 3.49% is not their rate and they need to make money that's why their rate is that high. after John fixed the rate, he took off and let the other finance person comes to help us. John went to his office which is the next room to us and called to report the situation to someone. we heard everything he said to the other person. he was/is not professional as a person who deals with customers. he forgot that THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT. I deal with ppl all day at my job, when I don't know, I tell them I don't know. John and the team should communicate better, learn to listen to customers concerns and control anger. anyone out there, if you are like us (we really need a car due to my husband broke down, village pointe is the only Toyota dealer that has the car my husband like, drive 6 hours, and Toyota has tundra shortage) go do business with them otherwise go somewhere else. also do your homework before you go or else you will be rip off like use and watch closely. In conclusion: this place is very unprofessional, lack of communications, will not be honest of the interest rate if you don't ask/know, will be anger at you if they can push you to buy their package, and will rip you off.
