Not recommended, very unorganized and unknowledgeable in all areas and horrible communication. Service center is awful. I was told I’d have my vehicle back in 2 hours; 4 hours later I called and a rude receptionist transferred me to a voicemail. I left one and called b I was told I’d have my vehicle back in 2 hours; 4 hours later I called and a rude receptionist transferred me to a voicemail. I left one and called back 30 minutes later - 5 hours after I dropped it off. Another message left. Finally my rep called and said it’d be another 3 hours. I specifically dropped it off first thing as I was told they’d get it done quicker. They are liars, not honest, receptionist is rude. It reminded me why I don’t take my vehicle there regularly, they always underestimate how long it will take. It was a warranty issue so I had no choice but to take my car there. More

Ripped off/Bait and switch in service department: Went into the service department page on the Toyota website and looked up my vehicle to schedule maintenance. On the website all the prices were listed fo into the service department page on the Toyota website and looked up my vehicle to schedule maintenance. On the website all the prices were listed for the recommended services for my specific vehicle. I selected the standard oil change for $89.99 and scheduled a time. Took my vehicle in this morning dropped it off, met with the “check-in” guy (Cris V.) who asked if I wanted my tires rotated and I said no, “thank you - I just had them all replaced. I just need to see oil change.” He wrote oil change on the piece of paper, asked me to sign it, and told me I could wait in the lobby. This has been the same procedure for the past 7 years with both of my Toyota vehicles they have serviced. When service was completed and I get the paperwork they were charging me $120. I questioned it the guy at the counter went and got the service department manager (Brandon) who then went and got the person who checked me in and asked me what the situation was. I explained I signed up for a certain price online but was being charged something different. He flipped through the paperwork to the page that I signed and lo and behold there’s “$120” now written on that page next to the oil change and he asked me why I signed it if I didn’t agree to it. “That is why we always discuss pricing upfront” he said. I explained to him I’ve been bringing my two vehicles here, that one I purchased there, for seven years and have never discussed price, particularly because it’s listed on the website when I scheduled my service so I know what it is. When he asked the check-in guy if he discussed pricing with me upfront of course lied and said yes. I looked him dead in the eyes and repeated the conversation we had and he just made a noise with his mouth and rolled his eyes and looked away. Brandon, the manager, sat there like a deer in headlights staring at his computer refusing to do anything so I made it very clear that I hope the $30 they were stealing from me today was worth it because they just lost my business indefinitely. I have had other issues with them not performing the services I paid for, and also a missing master lug nut key from my truck that I purchased brand new from them. We have been able to easily work those issues out. Apparently not today. Also, it shouldn’t take an hour and a half for a scheduled oil change at 7:40 in the morning, especially when they didn’t even wash the outside of the vehicle like they were supposed to. Lost customer! More
In August in took my 2009 Camry in for a broken trunk latch. I also requested an oil change. The diagnostic charge for the broken latch was $140, the oil change was $90, and a $23 Shop supply cost (what latch. I also requested an oil change. The diagnostic charge for the broken latch was $140, the oil change was $90, and a $23 Shop supply cost (whatever that is). It was going to be another $557 for parts and labor to repair the trunk latch. I told them to put my car back together, wrote them a check, and took my car to Baxter Toyota to have the latch fixed. I will never go back to Village Point Toyota. More
Received a coupon for a oil change and made an appointment. When I arrived I was told they weren't honoring the coupon even though it was not expired. Brandon the manager gave me a completely di appointment. When I arrived I was told they weren't honoring the coupon even though it was not expired. Brandon the manager gave me a completely different reason for not accepting the coupon than the service technician. It was a complete bait and switch operation. We have bought 2 cars from Village Pointe and was planning to buy a 3rd soon but they will never receive another red cent from me. Congratulations to Brandon and the service department on losing a future $50k + sale over $20.00, a bad attitude and bad business ethics. More
A message came on the dashboard of my 2019 Toyota A message came on the dashboard of my 2019 Toyota Corolla. So I took the car into the dealership at Village Pointe Toyota in Omaha. The message A message came on the dashboard of my 2019 Toyota Corolla. So I took the car into the dealership at Village Pointe Toyota in Omaha. The message was something about a start-up malfunction. It was also time for my 20,000 mile checkup with a free oil change and a free tire rotation, although the message on my dashboard that morning was not about it being time for my 20,000 mile checkup. So I took the car in to the Village Pointe Toyota Service Department. The service representative (He was not wearing a mask!) who greeted me when I came in seemed surprised I had this message on my car. But he never asked me any questions about how the car was running. Two hours later, the service rep told me the only problem with my car was the gas cap was not turned tightly after I purchased gas. I asked him if he knew this was a possibility when I brought the car in to him. He said, "Yes," but he never mentioned it to me. Instead, he had his mechanic run a bunch of tests. The end result was that the only reason I received the message on my dashboard was because my gas cap was loose. As the rep talked to me and prepared my receipt, he started telling me about how I was lucky because I wouldn't have to pay for any parts--just labor. The labor charge was $180.00 to tell me that my gas cap was loose. (My oil change and tire rotation was free because I foolishly purchased a new Toyota from these people.) I asked him why he didn't just have me check my gas cap when I came in before they ran all these tests. He said, "Oh, we have to make sure it is not another issue." But when I pulled in, he seemed surprised the light was on in such a new car. If Toyota did not have a, "Don't Ask/Don't tell," policy, a question or two would have gotten the answer from me that the car was running fine. We could have checked the gas cap and upon finding it loose, we could have been 99.9% sure that the problem was the loose gas cap. But it seemed Toyota's only concern was charging me (They probably wanted as much of my stimulus check as possible) with the largest bill possible. Basic honesty and decency or common sense did not enter into the equation from their point of view. So I was charged 180.00 for a mechanic to tighten my loose gas cap. I spent 20,000 on.a Toyota vehicle, and this is how they treated me. My old mechanic on my previous car would have checked the gas cap and not charged me a dime because he and his business have character and morals and realizes that his honesty would given him my business long term. Toyota thinks they have me because of the free oil changes and tire rotations they promised when I bought the car, so they can use those visits to stick it to me the best they can. But in the future I will pay my old honest mechanic for my oil changes and service work. Well, I will not return to their service department and the 180.00 they stole from me will be the last money they will get from me. One more note. I had a low tire at 29 pounds of air pressure. Since I was going in for a tire rotation, I did not air up my tire. When I left Toyota, my tire was still low at 29 pounds. The service department rotated my tires but did not even check my tire pressure. So after leaving Toyota, I went to a service station to air up my low tire. I would avoid this place. Character matters when it comes to mechanics. The service department at Village Pointe Toyota is clearly lacking character. They do not care about their customers; their priority is getting as much money from each service visit as they can. More
Oil change for my 2018 Toyota I purchased at Village Pointe. First one I had to purchase since my 2 year Toyota care was over. Oil change for my 2018 Toyota I purchased at Village Pointe. First one I had to purchase since my 2 year Toyota care was over. I had the vehicle in 3 weeks ago for an oil change and they told me the price was 79.95. I told them that I wasn't interested in an 80 oil change so I left without an oil change. I called the Toyota dealership in Bellevue, NE, and they said the oil change was 69.95, so I called Village Pointe back to again ask what does an oil change cost for the RAV4. I was told 69.95. So I setup an appointment to get the oil changed. On Monday the 13th of July, I left a message for Cris Varela to all me so that I could AGAIN confirm the cost of the oil change. No call back. On Tuesday, the 14th of July, I received my courtesy call about my 10am oil change appt on the 15th. I told her that I had left a message for Cris, and had not heard back, as I again wanted to confirm the cost of an oil change. She got Cris on the line, and told me it was 69.95. I said see you tomorrow. My wife brought the car in, and Brandon was the service rep that called me. I AGAIN asked for the cost of the oil change, and he told me 69.95. I said we had a 10% off coupon, and Brandon said he would apply the discount to our oil change. Two hours later, they came out and told my wife the car was ready to go, she paid and left. She then sent me the copy of the invoice, with a cost of 69.95 plus 6.48 for shop supply costs. I then called Village Pointe to find out where my 10% off was addressed. Brandon told me that he gave me 10.00 off the oil change, yet the oil change was still 69.95. Brandon said no, the price is 79.95. I told him this same set of events above, and he said "sorry" but no change is being made. I will no longer bring in my RAV4 for service, in addition, I will no longer bring in my wife's RAV4 as soon as her 2 year Toyata care package is over. This is so frustrating, and I hate to feel like I got ripped off, especially when I went to extreme measures to confirm what the cost of a simple oil change is for a RAV4. While Rusty is a great individual sales person there, your service department stinks and if asked, I will let anyone know that is how I feel. Am sure if you had experienced this, you would feel the same. More
What started as a great experience has gone downhill over the last two years with the service department. We have bought vehicles at other dealerships used and purchased the disappearing deductible warranty the last two years with the service department. We have bought vehicles at other dealerships used and purchased the disappearing deductible warranty and never charged when bringing our vehicle in for issues. At Village Point it is the flavor of the day.... at one point it’s zero to look at vehicle, then the next time it’s $162 to look at it, and they keep quoting $2000 worth of preventative maintenance that is not on the maintenance schedule. As great as the sales team was, the service department is way worse. We will be avoiding purchasing a vehicle there again. Go to another dealership with integrity. We purchased 1 used Toyota and 2 new Toyota’s from Performance Toyota and never had an issue from sales to service. We gave Village Pointe Toyota a try because they were next to our house. Never again. More
