Marcy Holderer/ Austin Slusser My son made the appointment. He was going to drop off the car at 2:30 and pick it up later the same day. He ended up droppibg it off early and a worker called him and told him he would not be able to pick it up ubtil monday because the worker never looked at what recalls needed to be done and the under coating would take 24 hours to dry. My son needed his car and wanted to grab it on Sunday, but that was not an option becaused they were closed. Instead he had to wait until monday. He had was unable to get a ride into work so he had to use his time to take a day off. He then got a ride later in the afternoon. Upon pick up, he was notifies that the abs fuse was not in stock and he had to return in 5 days or so to get that recall taken care of. It would take 30min to an hour. We live over 40 minutes away from the dealer. If they would have checked the recalls when he was making the appointment, he would have scheduled it differently. They also should have made sure all the parts were available before having him come in.

Avis Car Rental responded

I am Ryan from Avis Budget Car rental. My phone number is 716-263-4645. I run all of upstate NY from Buffalo to Syracuse down the Ithaca. I use 41 different dealerships, and this is by far the one of the worst getting a hold of a live person or getting a return phone call or text. I just spent 13 minutes trying to get an update on this vehicle and the operator could not find anyone. She had no listing for a service or general manager at the store. I called and used the automated system to get a text update around 11:30 and they failed as well.
