I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and a check engine light diagnosis (codes P0456 and P0442). I was told the issue was the purge valve, which I approved for repair at a cost of $326.10. I brought the car back on November 3rd and was later told the issue was actually the filler neck, which would be covered under warranty but required a part to be ordered. From that point on, communication was poor — I consistently had to call for updates and often received inconsistent or delayed information. After several days of waiting, I was later informed that the fuel pump assembly also needed replacement, but this would not be covered under warranty, with an estimated cost of $1,600. Given that I am currently recovering from hip surgery and out of work, I had to decline this repair. When I picked up my vehicle, I found several issues that raised serious concerns about the quality of the work performed: There were grease smudges on the gas cap and quarter panel. The area around the gas filler was left dirty and uncleaned. Most concerning, it appeared that the replacement filler neck had been removed and my original part reinstalled, which is unacceptable and could create additional problems with the EVAP system. This experience has left me with the impression that your service department lacks proper diagnostic procedures, quality control, and customer communication standards. It appears that components are being replaced based on guesswork rather than accurate testing, and customers are being asked to pay for that trial-and-error process. More
