I waited nearly 2 hours for an oil change and to check 2 recall notices and at the end they informed me the system was down, couldn't check the emissions recall. Horn Replacement-2021 Seltos First, I was aware there was a "silent recall" for the horn. The dealership was not aware of this, and I had to point it out to them twice so I wouldn't get charged. Second was a "silent recall" for the horn. The dealership was not aware of this, and I had to point it out to them twice so I wouldn't get charged. Second, I believe Kia should have put this out as a regular recall due to it being a safety issue. They did replace the horn. In doing so, they had to remove the front bumper because the horn is in front on the left side behind the bumper. The next day the side electrical light on the left front panel was hanging out by the wires. I went back to the dealer, and they graciously fixed it right away. But, when it was done, the Service representative tried to tell me that more than likely, it was caused by a car hitting me and not due to them removing my bumper. He showed me some very minor scratches that I knew were there prior to the repair, and they are hardly visible. And the plastic yellow covering was not damaged and would have been if hit by a car. I told him my car did not get hit. I asked if there was a picture taken when they installed the new horn and he couldn't answer that there was. Also, I don't believe the technician would have remembered seeing those scratches since I am sure they work on several cars a day. He pretty much insisted and I told him no, it did not get hit. He was trying not to have the dealership take responsibility. Clearly, he was snowing me because I am a woman. This was a total insult to my intelligence. I know if I were a man, he would not have given me that line of a car hitting me and causing the light to come loose and hang. After going back and forth, I said I am leaving and he told me if I have any further issues to let him know. I truly believe this was a result of the bumper being removed. No big deal, things happen, but to try to snow me into thinking a car hit me and it was not due to their work, is unacceptable. When I went home and told my husband about the conversation, he agreed that I was told that because I am a woman and he was thinking the same thing. I expect a response from the dealer. This is totally unacceptable of treating women like I was treated. I would certainly think twice before I bought a car from this dealer. Service is quite slow and communication / realistic ETAs in short supply. Being told it should take about an hour, and then waiting 2.5 hours, is frustrating, especially when there are no updates in short supply.
