I have never been so impressed with a dealership. Bruce Lama was certain that, even things I wouldn't have noticed, were perfect before I took off in the car I purchased. He had calls from other customers Lama was certain that, even things I wouldn't have noticed, were perfect before I took off in the car I purchased. He had calls from other customers while he was working up my deal, yet acted as I was the most important client in the world! His honesty, knowledge of cars, professionalism and friendliness are uncanny, paramount qualities one wishes to have with whom they deal when buying such an important purchase. Jim, Manager that morning, and Wooody, in Finance, also were fantastic. I was treated fairly, with respect, and the entire experience was not stressful...for the first time in buying a car. I would also like to say that it was noticable, the way in which the dealership was set up and how it looked. It would be a great environment to work in, so classy. And the shop? Allowing music for the mechanics, their pictures at their stations, so cool. Also, "spotless!" Of course, having helped my architect/general contractor long-time boyfriend on job sites, I realize the importance in safety and quality of workmanship that clean work site increases those factors. And the front area? Hey, I wouldn't mind working at Bruce's desk! The colleagues appear to get along well with one another (customers notice when there is tension, especially in the commission-based arena.) I plan to buy every car from here out from Bruce Lama. As well, I will use VW N Scottsdale's Service Department. I understand their pricing for smaller "keep ups" such as oil change is reasonable, so why not have all service at one place for ease of keeping records and so I may have my car worked on by VW trained mechanics? All in all, I give this dealership 110%!! More
I have been going to Volkswagen North Scottsdale since the store opened and I cant say enough good things about the dealership. I have had nothing but the very best service from all aspects. The last coup the store opened and I cant say enough good things about the dealership. I have had nothing but the very best service from all aspects. The last couple times I was at the dealership, it was for parts for my Jetta. Robert Anaya (Parts Manager) greated me with a smile and took all the necessary time to find what I was needing. The customer service that all of the employees especially Robert provides is by far the very best that I have received in all the years that I have driving. I will continue to give Volkswagen North Scottsdale my business and hope that you are treated as well as I have been. More

Robert was tremendous. I had been driving my car since I left Prescott Az en route to Yuma and a couple of vacuum valves broke while on my way to Yuma. I cannot say enough about sales consultant, Tim Pizzitola! He was courteous, friendly and very helpful! He went out of his way to help me with a minor issue I had with my CC, and I didn't even buy Pizzitola! He was courteous, friendly and very helpful! He went out of his way to help me with a minor issue I had with my CC, and I didn't even buy my car at North Scottsdale VW! Tim also took the time to walk me through several of the features of the CC that I had no idea about. He directed me to Jeff Porter to set up my 45 day inspection to see how things are running and if I'm happy with the car. (My dealer did not offer that to me) Great dealer and customer service! Ask for Tim, if you are going car shopping! Oh, and I couldn't be happier with my new CC!! More

Ok, so listen to this nightmare before you even consider trusting their service department to take care of a good customer. I traded in my 2007 Toyota Tacoma in March of 2008 to this dealership. The truck w trusting their service department to take care of a good customer. I traded in my 2007 Toyota Tacoma in March of 2008 to this dealership. The truck was worth about 28-30K when I took the hit and traded it in for 22K. At the time I was suffering the financial strain of our economy and wanted to get in a more practical and economical ride. I have always been impressed with German engineering. I bought an 06 Jetta Certified Pre-owned with 40K miles on it. It was a great car for the most part. My extended warranty, I bought for it covered the car for two years or 74,000 miles. I took the car in for a final warranty inspection shortly before the 2 years was about to expire. With a couple of minor replacements (CV boot and seat belt malfunction). I entered the out of warranty time. 2K miles after this final inspection, my transmission started shifting really hard from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. I thought I was doomed for a trans. rebuild at 76K miles on the car. I took my car to a German Auto Mechanic to find it was the Valve Body. About a thousand dollar repair. On Dec. 21st 2010, I received a letter in the mail from Volkswagen, explaining that they extended the warranty on my valve body to 100K miles. Overjoyed, I immediately drove the vehicle to the dealership to get it repaired. The next day, the service rep called me and told me that it was not the valve body because they found "burnt fluid" in my transmission. He immediately concluded that I would need a whole new transmission over burnt fluid. After consulting with my dad, who is a mechanic, he informed me that examining the fluid is NOT a proper diagnosis of the valve body. I waited a week, due to the holidays for Doug, The Service Manager to get back. Once I met with him in person, he agreed to take the pan down from the transmission to run proper diagnosis. He stressed that this was not a required service, approved under the warranty...ok whatever...He agreed to do what they should have done to diagnose the valve body, out of good will, to begin with. So I was satisfied, only after I disputed it. I will say though, that Doug, the Service Manager did go above and beyond, by documenting his conversations between him and Volkswagen of America. He also had my car washed as well as having gas put in the car. Even though the issue was not resolved with my vehicle, I feel Doug did everything he could to fight for my case. I wouldn't buy another Volkswagen again. More
Chris Trowbridge of North Scottsdale VW is a great example of positive customer focus and results. He is an outstanding representative of the North Scottsdale VW team, through his friendly, profession example of positive customer focus and results. He is an outstanding representative of the North Scottsdale VW team, through his friendly, professional, competent and diligent customer service. Chris helped me obtain hard-to-find floormats for my daughter's Jetta. Once the floormats arrived, Chris called me to inform me of their arrival. The new floor mats had factory-revised eyelets which did not mate with the connectors in the car. When I arrived at the dealer to pick up the mats, Chris proactively swapped out the new larger eyelets with correct ones for each of the four floor mats. He ensured that they fit the car's connectors. I appreciated Chris' follow-through and his customer focus, during a very busy holiday season. More
My wife and I had narrowed a new car choice down to 4 and one was a GTI. On December 18th, we went to Volkswagen North Scottsdale because it was the closest VW dealer. After a drive, we ruled out the GTI one was a GTI. On December 18th, we went to Volkswagen North Scottsdale because it was the closest VW dealer. After a drive, we ruled out the GTI, but my wife liked the 2011 CC. Bruce Lama did a good job answering questions about the car. I told him I had not done my homework (resale value, reliability, etc.) on that model and would get back to him if everything checks out. During our talks, he presented me with a written offer and I told him again that I had some things to check out first. As we were leaving, he took us aside and told us that his manager (Jim Knights) had made a "mistake" on the offer. He said Jim thought it was a 2010 model with $1000 incentives. In other words, the offer was $1000 lower than it was supposed to be. BUT (he said) Jim is aware of the mistake, but would still honor that price IF we bought today. I'm afraid I could not stifle a chuckle at such a car sales cliche but told him I would get back with him and asked his next work day. When I called him to tell him we would buy the car and it would be a cash sale. Bruce then informed me that he was serious on Saturday when he told me the price was good for that day only. I assumed he was just trying to see if I would pay more. I had several conversations with Bruce and Jim, but when they insisted they could not sell the car for that price. So we put a deposit down on another brand/model car on our list. That car hasn't arrived at the dealer yet but is expected by the end of the year. Since Jim claimed to be wiling to sell the car, despite the mistake, on Saturday, that tells me the price was one acceptable to VW North Scottsdale, otherwise Jim would have been violating his fiduciary responsibilities. Obviously, VW North Scottsdale can decide what they will sell a car for. And we were not harmed since we still purchased a car we wanted somewhere else at a price we wanted. But potential buyers should be aware of the kinds of shenanigans they will face if shopping there. And I admit this was a new one to me with 40 years of new car shopping under my belt. I'm at a loss trying to figure out how they thought trying to change the price AFTER they made a written offer would work for them. More
