Terrible experience at this dealership. We had an appointment to view a newer pre-owned vehicle and had to travel 2 hours to see it. Upon arriving at the dealership the vehicle was parked o We had an appointment to view a newer pre-owned vehicle and had to travel 2 hours to see it. Upon arriving at the dealership the vehicle was parked out front and we met up with our salesman who proceeded to tell us that the vehicle does not run and is in need of repair so we can look at it but not test drive it. I asked why we were not told that before taking off work and making a 2 hour trip. He asked if we were interested in seeing something else which I stated no! He said we could still purchase the vehicle and pick it up next week after it was fixed. So since we were there we had our trade in looked at and were given a lowball offer. He asked if we were financing which I said we are approved through our federal credit union and have a blank draft check. That was not well received and after some back and forth we were told by another member of the dealership that they would not accept a Credit Union Draft Check and that we must finance with them. At that time I knew what they were doing and wasn’t going to waste any more of my time. We walked out and immediately drove to Ken Ganley Hyundai in which we purchased the same vehicle which was a year newer with less miles. We got a fair offer on our trade and they gladly accepted the draft check from our credit union. I buy at least 2 cars a year this was for my daughter. I will never do business with Volkswagen of Akron ever again and will never recommend them. More

A simple warranty repair turned into a week long back and forth between us and the dealership to get our repairs paid for by the warranty.
