Car issue and resolution I bought a Tiguan 2010 and the car had a problem sometime after I bought it. Although at first, I had some issues I got help from the service Director I bought a Tiguan 2010 and the car had a problem sometime after I bought it. Although at first, I had some issues I got help from the service Director Bill Dolan and he has been dealing with this problem efficiently and with lots of courtesy. I thank the service department for the assistance and with my humble opinion, I recommend taking your car to Volkswagen downtown Chicago where it will be in good hands. I expect this issue to be over soon with the best solution we can work out. More

Worst customer service I’ve seen. I called for info on a 2011 Jetta and spoke with Ruben. He then directed me to Ian. I spoke to Ian and mentioned i was interested in the specific car. Current price was $12 2011 Jetta and spoke with Ruben. He then directed me to Ian. I spoke to Ian and mentioned i was interested in the specific car. Current price was $12,000, it was rated “Overpriced” on CarGurus. I mentioned how i was from Texas and, with shipping costs, I was comfortable with $11,200. He then proceeded to tell me, in a snobby attitude, how he couldn’t cater to out of town guests and shipping costs. Very rude and not a polite conversation at all but nonetheless, my offer was $11,200 and he said he would get back to me. 4 hours later I call him back where he states that they were firm on the $12,000 price tag. He seemed to have had no intentions of getting back to me and I’m not even sure if he relayed the offer to his manager like he claimed that he would. I stated that I would be willing to do $12,000, full price, that I already had shipping lined up with an external company, but I would like a video sent to me first if possible. He claimed that he would have someone call me with a video in 10-15 minutes. Guess what... no call. 2 days later I see the price then drop to $11,500. Fortunately for myself I didn’t waste anymore time with Ian of VW Downtown Chicago. I found a much better transaction elsewhere where I was provided a live FaceTime video, the seller was very polite, and, if anything, I was given an abundance of information on the car that I never even had to request. Ian definitely lost my business here. It may only be a $500 loss for the dealership and being from Texas, it may not matter to them whatsoever, but maybe it will help others option for another dealership in the area where good and friendly service is valued. When you have a buyer offering full asking price and you ignore them... that’s ridiculous. More
