I went to Cook to buy my son a car. Our original salesman was Mike Hamilton who I would never deal with again. Not only does he promise things that he does not follow through with, he really needs salesman was Mike Hamilton who I would never deal with again. Not only does he promise things that he does not follow through with, he really needs to think before he speaks. Mike is only out for a sale, not to make people happy with their purchase. After many problems with Mike I was referred to Neal the operations manager for Cook. If it weren't for Neal I would never go back to Cook again. He not only made sure that the cosmetic issues we had with the car were fixed, but also made sure we had no other concerns. It's to bad for salesmen like Mike. If I had only dealt with him I would have thought Cook was a lousy dealership, not the case at all. I am very pleased with the purchase of the Jetta and am very appreciative of Neal's dedication to customer satisfaction. More

He said how sorry he was that I did not have a good experience and that he wanted to make it up to me. He offered me a free service and a free detail of my car. I just now took him up on the free service and detail and I could not be happier with the service department. They provided me a car while they were working on my vehicle, it took as long as he said it would take and they did a great job on the detail of my car. Completely makes up for a bad experience. My wife and I came to this dealership to look at a used Lexus RX330 that we found on the internet. After a test drive, we sat down with a salesman to discuss price. He was very hesitant to come to a spec Lexus RX330 that we found on the internet. After a test drive, we sat down with a salesman to discuss price. He was very hesitant to come to a specific selling price for the vehicle and kept trying to get us to tell him what we wanted as a monthly payment amount. In my opinion, this is clearly a tactic to avoid getting to a specific price on the vehicle. When we finally told the salesman to stop beating around the bush and tell us what the price of the vehicle was, he admitted that it was going to be higher than the advertised internet price because the advertised price did not include the reconditioning fees. We again had to insist on being told what those fees were. He wouldn't tell us how much was spent reconditioning the vehicle, but quoted us a price about $3,000 higher than the internet price. I told him he was out of his mind and we walked out of the dealership. The manager came out after us and quoted us a different price that was still higher than the internet price but about $2,000 less than what the salesman had quoted. Clearly, they are using deceptive bait and switch tactics to lure you to the dealership with low advertised prices and then they try hide their increased prices somewhere in your monthly payment. These guys are the epitome of everything people detest about used car salesmen. It is important to understand that the dealership already factored in reconditioning fees when deciding what to pay for the vehicle when they acquired it in trade or at auction. So now they are trying to get it on both ends. Stay away. More
