I recently bought a car at Cook Volkswagen and, I’ve got to say, it was the best experience I’ve ever had at a dealership! My salesperson, Lenny, was very friendly and helpful, particularly with explaining to say, it was the best experience I’ve ever had at a dealership! My salesperson, Lenny, was very friendly and helpful, particularly with explaining all the different options and working with my budget, so I was able to choose exactly what I wanted for a great low price. I also really liked how accommodating Lenny was, especially the way he was straightforward without being pushy. Overall, I certainly recommend Lenny for his excellent customer service, extensive knowledge, and honesty! More
Wow! What a great experience! I'm not going to lie I was a little nervous buying my first new car. I went down there cautious, but it was so easy. Greg really helped me out. He walked me through what I needed to know, explained everything to me, and was super honest. I got a great deal on the perfect car, came away from my car shopping experience very happy and completely satisfied. I really appreciate when someone takes the time to answer my questions, and that I can trust, especially with such a large purchase. I will definitely recommend Greg Kelly to all my friends and to anybody who is looking to buy a car! More
I would recommend this dealership because the salesman I worked with was very informative and friendly. He did not pressure me in any way to buy a particular car. I thought I was paying 13k and they snuck in 3k worth of so called RECODITIONAL FEES that they never presented to me before i signed the contract, car ended up selling for 16k. Lenny pushed me to sign the contract and never reviewed it with me. This is the first place i've ever bought from that did not review the contract in detail. I now know why, because they secretly slide in extra profit to the cost of the vehicle, hopeing , like me , the customer doesn't catch it and signs the contract. I come to find out that the higher management , Don, and the used car manager could care less about you once you signed the deal. THEIR BUSINESS MUST BE SO GREAT, THAT DON'T WORRY ABOUT RETURN BUSINESS. I REALLY HOPE THE OWNER OF THIS DEALERSHIP READS THIS because i'm 40 years old and have bought about 20 cars in my life. I could of been a very good return customer but because lenny and the used manager had to be greedy and sneak in 3 k worth of extra profit , not reconditional fees, I will never set foot in this dealer again. Look at all the maitenance money you will lose from me not coming in for oil changes and repairs. I guess heritage vw will enjoy my business. More
Dont be fooled by the low used car sales price on their website. I traveled all the way from PA because my vehicle was listed for 15,998. This was the price i was told i was getting throughout the entire t website. I traveled all the way from PA because my vehicle was listed for 15,998. This was the price i was told i was getting throughout the entire transaction. Only when the reviewing the paperwork in detail later did i discover a 2000 reconditioning fee was added to the price of all used vehicles. It is not itemized on the invoice or mentioned once by the salesman. Under no circumstances would i advise buying a car from here. More
I gave Shannon 5 great reviews as he was awesome to work with! As far as the price goes, that is another story as your dealership certainly uses some pretty questionable tactics to lure customers in the do with! As far as the price goes, that is another story as your dealership certainly uses some pretty questionable tactics to lure customers in the door and then change the price on them once they are in the door. An advertised internet price should be the price not a readjusted price due to some b.s. that the managers want to implement after your in the door. More

My wife and I had been searching for an Audi Q7 for several weeks when we found one at Cook Volkswagen. The price was very competitive and the vehicle was well equipped. After a brief conversation with several weeks when we found one at Cook Volkswagen. The price was very competitive and the vehicle was well equipped. After a brief conversation with Mr. Kelly, we decided to travel from Silver Spring to Fallston to purchase the vehicle. During our initial test drive I mentioned to Greg that the passenger side mirror was not working properly. He acknowledged it and we continued on. After evaluating my trade, Greg asked if we had a deal. That was strange to me because I had not been presented any numbers. When I asked for the numbers, he comes back with a blank piece of white paper with nothing more than several numbers scribbled on them. I was not presented with a purchase order or anything official. After evaluating the numbers, my wife and I realized that not only was the math wrong but that they had added approximately $2500 back into the price of the vehicle to cover "reconditioning fees and inspection". The excuse for why these fees were not disclosed online was poor at best...he mentioned something about being competitive. I didn't kick back because my wife was so in love with the truck and because of the distance travelled to get there. They corrected the error in mathematics and we agreed on a monthly payment. To our chagrin, the bad math and incorrect prices reappeared once we got to the business office to sign the paperwork. We explained to the finance person that there was an error. He corrected the error and reprinted our purchase order. We then met back up with Greg to wait for our Q7 to be finished being cleaned. You would think that for $2000 the vehicle would have been immaculate. It was far from it. There were areas that were seemingly untouched by the cleaners. I chalked it up as an inexperienced cleaning staff and kept my mouth shut. When I asked Greg for the second set of keys and the owners packet he told me that they didn't have it. I recognize that when you purchase a used car you get it "as is" but when you pay $2500 for inspection and reconditioning there are certain aspects that should automatically be included. When I asked Greg to get me a 2nd key and owner's manual he told me that He would look into it. We left the dealership not completely satisfied but happy to be in our new SUV. When I inquired on several later occasions about the key, books, and mirror I was told, by Greg, that I should have requested it at the beginning of the deal and that because it wasn't on the "We Owe" paperwork they wouldn't be able to do it. When I asked about fixing the mirror, he told me that it wasn't covered under the 30 day/1000 mile warranty because that only covers MSI components. My wife and I signed the "We Owe" form before we were even made aware that there were no keys or books. Our experience has always been that the books and 2nd keys are presented just before taking ownership of the vehicle. Had I known that a "reputable" dealer such as Cook VW would have participated in such deceiving and shady practices I would have never given them my business. From what I understand the GM is on vacation this week. Please believe that we will be following up with him first thing next week. More
Greg was very nice and helpful! He practically worked magic for me and didn't give up until I left with a car! I will definitely be recommending others to Cook Volkswagen. magic for me and didn't give up until I left with a car! I will definitely be recommending others to Cook Volkswagen. More
Mr Greg was very helpful, was not pushy at all. He knew about the vehicle I was buying and had the tags already on the vehicle when I got there. I called earlier that day and let him know I was coming, but about the vehicle I was buying and had the tags already on the vehicle when I got there. I called earlier that day and let him know I was coming, but would be late, he stayed past his scheduled time to better serve my timeline. I was impressed with the service and personality of the staff. I have been shopping for about a month and this was the first dealership I was happy with. I have already told friends about them, and will be looking there when I need my next car. Thank you to the staff, and I hope you all have a great year. very resectfully, SSG Billy Weber More
