The buying process was great it was easy and efficient (probably due to the fact that they were getting paid $$$). A day after my purchase I noticed that my brand new car had damage to the improper removal of window stickers. I called to have the piece replaced and was told to come in it would be replaced. Now, noted I live about a little over a hour away from this dealership..... I arrived at the dealership it was looked at and within 5 minutes was told the part would be ordered I would have to make a second trip. A little annoyed but went with it. Got a call a week later saying the part came in and to make an appointment. I made the appointment for service the 29th of December. When I arrived I was told by the service department the wrong part was ordered. Another trip wasted gas and time with no fixed part. I was told I would get a phone call once the part was ordered and was in hand and possible leave with a full tank of gas (for my troubles). Still, on January 24th almost a full month later I have gotten a phone call from the dealership. I have made 3 phone calls myself to find out what is going on and I get no answers or responses from the vm left for the service department. The sales department wants and strives for excellent service (so they advertise) but to be honest if I would have know it was going to be this much of a hassle I would have purchased my vehicle at a dealership closer to home (even though the pricing was a bit more) to have top customer service. I have an offer for a free first oil change and car wash.... I might just forget about that offer and pay at a closer location if that means I can get sincere customer service. Never again will I make the mistake to do business with this dealership. More
Customer service not an option at this dealer I gave a 1 star rating because 0 was not an option. When I go to a dealer for a key replacement and am told it will be 3 to 5 business days and 2 week I gave a 1 star rating because 0 was not an option. When I go to a dealer for a key replacement and am told it will be 3 to 5 business days and 2 weeks later I call and they have no record of it, makes me a little angry. When the service managers solution is to tell me the person I did all my work with is no longer there and they are getting around to his paperwork does not make me feel like I really need to go here. When i say I should probably go somewhere else and the response from the service manager is "go ahead", it kind of tells you how they really feel about customers. Glad I got my VW from a dealer that actually knows what customer service is about. Which was not VW of Gainesville. More
the WORST VW dealer service center I've even been I bought my 2012 VW eos almost brand new in 2012 and have done every service and repair at VW dealer service center. I absolutely enjoy my experie I bought my 2012 VW eos almost brand new in 2012 and have done every service and repair at VW dealer service center. I absolutely enjoy my experience in Evanston IL and Tarrytown NY. However, the only two times I did service at the Gainesville vw are both TERRIBLE. The first time I did my 50,000 mile service there in May 2018. After driving for a month I had oil leak and it turned out to be they didn't tighten up the oil filter cap. Seriously? My oil level was very low at that point. I don't know how unprofessional could a dealership service center be. Now I am up to the 60,000 mile service and I also have the airbag recall so I'm dumb enough to come here again. It was all great at the beginning, One lady came out to great me helped me with my appointment. She was very nice and friendly. After dropping off my car, she offered the shuttler service to take me to work and it would only take a few minutes for the driver to arrive. I went to the waiting area and waited. 15 minutes past I walked back to the counter, she called the driver and told me he would be here in 5 mins. I went back and wait again. 15 minutes later I went to the counter, another gentleman called the driver but he didn't answer the phone. At this point I'm losing my patience. I have never had to wait for more than 5 minutes at any other dealer for a shuttle ride. I was in a hurry back to work. If they would've told me the driver is not available, I could've taken a Uber back to work. I told the lady who helped me at first that she should've told me it will take a long time. She said "ma'm, I have no control of my shuttle driver." wow you have only one shuttle driver and you don't care about your customers. I'm sorry but I have never been treated like this ever at any other vw dealer. I took a Uber back to work and I don't think I will ever come here for any kind of service ever. In addition, for my previous service experience in Chicago, they always washed my car after any service. For here, you get nothing but unprofessional staff and people who don't care about their business. If this is how you do your business, I'm sorry I will not waste my money and time here. More
Bypass this dealership Lengthy and boring and unresolved. I finally gave up trying to hold the service dept accountable for work I paid for. Picked up the car in the same Lengthy and boring and unresolved. I finally gave up trying to hold the service dept accountable for work I paid for. Picked up the car in the same broken condition I left it 11 days earlier. And left my repair money there as well. Just wasnt worth continuing to fight for equitable resolution. More

They charged her $230 for a tire that can be bought at Mavis Tire for $156.00 with balancing. She brought that to their attention but they did not care. They also did not have to to to get the lug nut lock off so she had to leave the car there overnight borderline psychotic and get a ride back to school from a friend .I would steer clear of this service department that takes advantage of young women. They are very lucky that I was not able to travel up there. More

I had issues with my truck that I bought and Nick was right beside me and my wife the entire time helping us figure out a solution. I dont know what we would've done without Nick on our side. He constantly kept us updated and put us in contact with the people who could solve the issue. NICK is hardworking, passionate, and truly cared about us as customers. We would reccomend Nick to anyone interested in a car. I will never buy another vehicle but through Nick Gerard. More

They took care of us very well and quickly completed work that another dealer was going to charge us a lot more for. During our wait we struck up a conversation with Nick Gerard. He made us feel very much at home during our wait. He asked if we were interned in test driving a car. Though we hadn’t really considered buying one today, he walked us through the process in such a great way that we decided to purchase a 2018 Tiguan SE. Everyone treated us great, but Nick made it a fun experienc to buy a car. My thanks to him and everyone at Volkswagen of Gainesville! More

I went and sat in the lobby and after about 3 minutes Mr. Noman "Nick" Gerard approached me and introduced himself and just simply asked how I was doing....I told him I was good, etc. He then asked me about how satisfied I was with my vehicle. I explained to him I did not buy my car new or certified but from a used car lot. I further explained that I liked the car a lot but was paying too much for the vehicle. Long story short, Mr. Gerard took about 2 hours of his time to look at my situation and to see if he could help me in any way. He went above and beyond. If your looking for a new vehicle go check out the new VW's, they are incredible and then go ask for Mr. Gerard. He will make it happen! Very satisfied with Mr. Gerard and the service department. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff all the way around...A shout out to Misty as well. She is very, very helpful! Niko to in the garage... More
What happens AFTER you’ve bought your car... My first review was 5 stars and nothing but praise! Now weeks later and nothing but broken promises and lies! When my daughter bought her car (of cour My first review was 5 stars and nothing but praise! Now weeks later and nothing but broken promises and lies! When my daughter bought her car (of course with the help of mom 😉) she noticed the rear passenger door was missing a piece inside. Our salesman Anthony had her sign an IOU and said he’d call when the part came in. Needless to say Haylee reached out to Anthony a week later to see if it was in and she received no response. So I texted him and he replied that he’d go find out. I advised Anthony at this time that after getting the car home and my daughter detailing it at her work (which is a car wash), she found the windshield was very scratched (with it hindering visibility) and the rear driver side window was also very scratched and had some strange stain on it. He said he’d have the service department use their special chemicals to see if they could fix it. He then said the part was there and scheduled her to come in to have it installed and the chemicals used on her windows the following Tuesday at 3pm. My daughter drove from Ocala to her service appointment just to find out that they had no record of her on the schedule and they didn’t have the part and had no clue on what “special chemicals” were being referred to. My daughter and myself were not happy at this point! They finally found where Anthony had ordered the part but for the wrong VIN number! They said they’d order it and it should be in Thursday and they’d call her then. Thursday came around and no call. My daughter called and spoke to Andrew who told her the part had not come in and it should be there Friday. Again Friday comes and no call. After several attempts to contact Andrew she had no luck! She called the service department and some lady told her the part did not come in and it was coming from somewhere up north. Monday comes and my daughter tried calling Andrew several times again with no luck! He’d called her back 1 time and she called him back 2 minutes later and again nothing! At that point mama bear was pissed! So I sent an email to VW of Gainesville asking to have the GM call me in regards to a car we just bought. For some reason my email was forwarded as a lead to purchase a car. Although very odd, I am thankful that email ended up in the hands of Nick “Mozz” Gerard! I voiced my issues to him and he said he’d talk to the GM and have them call me. Unfortunately I didn’t receive any calls from anyone. I called Nick today to let him know that no one called me, but my daughter was scheduled to go in today to the service department at 2pm. I had no clue Nick was off today and relaxing at the beach, lol, but he still answered my call and even called the service manager to tell him my concerns. Nick called me back right away and told me the service manager was going to call me. I spoke to the service manager, who was on his 3rd day at VW of Gville, and he said he’d talked to my daughter when she came in today, which he didn’t! I touched base with Nick again and let him know her car was done FINALLY! The part was put on and the back window somewhat fixed, but the windshield was I guess our problem. Nick went OVER and BEYOND for us! He has never met us, didn’t sell us my daughters car and even took care of us on his day off while he was at the beach!!! Needless to say we have NEVER heard from Anthony again! Nick is a total asset to VW of Gainesville right now and proving to be the only competent one as well!! Thank you Nick for all your hard work and dedication!! More
