Fortunately, part of diagnosing any concerns with a vehicle is running a scan of the vehicle. The scan time stamps any faults that have occurred. The time stamps show the faults occurred before your vehicle was worked on in our shop. This was verified with you by the Shop Foreman and the Service Manager . That is your position and not mine and has not been verified , furthermore this is why we have retained a customer satisfaction claim # with Volkswagen which is currently under review. they are also looking at a total of 4 CSI Claims on this vehicle. How far do you want me to go with this? Also, your shop foreman spent 6 hours diagnosing the car with a faulty PCV Valve and a bad auxiliary water pump after it only went in for an oil change and filter running perfectly with no engine codes. The approx repair cost was $1,500.00. We declined and took the vehicle. After about 1.5 hours of our diagnostic time we found the water pump and the PCV Valve were not faulty at all, water pump was pulled off and ohm tested while also load testing it in a bucket of water. PCV Valve was pulled off and inspected for any diaphram tears or cracks in the body, found it to be completely operational. Once again, we found the problem in 1.5 hours. The car is now back on the road and has cycled 5 times with no issues or engine light codes, the vehicle now runs exactly like it did before it went in for oil change and filter. I appreciate your invitation for a diplomatic resolve and respectfully decline at this time. We will be waiting for the VW Customer satisfaction rep to act as the 3rd party in this dispute. We do fully intend to engage in any efforts once we have this in place.

We apologize that you are having issues with your vehicle and do see you brought your vehicle in for a check engine light concern. We did our best to help you out with your concern. Without tearing down a portion of the engine, we cannot give you a proper diagnosis. We would love to help, but with almost 90K miles and no warranty, we are limited in what we can do. **** WARNING *** AVOID VOLKSWAGEN OF LEE'S SUMMIT AT ALL COSTS I would like to reiterate that my opinion about Volkswagen of Lee's Summit has not changed. They responded to my complaint in a typical manner by making assertions without any substance and failing to take responsibility for their lack of quality, poor service, and ineptness. I would like to add to my earlier statement that Volkswagen of Lee's Summit has deplorable service and will go to great lengths to swindle you out of your money. To reinforce that statement, another local Volkswagen dealer is fixing our engine issue for $1,453.92, which is $546 less than what Volkswagen of Lee's Summit wanted to charge just to diagnose the problem further. This doesn't even include the additional $5,000 to $10,000 for parts and labor they said they would need to charge on top of that.
