I stuck my face to the window sticker and went in with no appointment to seek more info on my now 2010 Tiquan. I had done the same thing so many times elsewhere and was totally ignored. Salespersons were busy and the genetleman at the reception desk asked the finance person to assist me until a sales person was free. He did not hesistate to walk out in the cold with me and brought the car up in front of the dealership and I was able to sit in the SUV until a salesperson was free. I did the same thing at "Autobarn" in Hillside was ignored both times. Most dealerships will not even let you sit in their cars until they know how much you can afford. This is one of the reasons I had so many dings on my credit profile by the time VW took a look at it. Rich, my salesperson kept offering me water and checking on my while I took a seat and kept looking out of the window at the SUV that I sure was perfect for me. The Orland Park staff made a very hard deal comfortable to me that others would not touch before getting my first born child. The staff listened to my needs and did not focus on my shortcomings. I was greeted by Eddie B. who introduced me to my sales consultant, Eric. It was all positive after that. They worked with me on getting me a price I could work with on both my trade and the car I was interested in. Continual effort was made to ensure that I was taken care of, including bringing me water. I worked with several nice, charismatic, and honest members of the VW of Orland Park team. It was truly my first 'positive' experience in 20 years of purchasing cars. Even negotiating at Orland Park VW was so different - no sneaky sales gimmicks, and the discussions were open and honest and never felt pressured or guilted.
