We recently moved to the south and during our travels around the area, we noticed the VW EOS. So we found the South Charlotte dealer and Mike Roberts. We know we liked the car, but had no idea if we wanted to trade in one of our cars, if so, which one, buy a new EOS or a used EOS, etc. So we made several trips and phone calls to Mike, Ty and Mark Donovan over a couple of weeks. This has to be the friendliest dealership, not to mention patient and helpful! I finally had an ephipheny and decided to trade in my husbands car :) and purchase a new EOS. So we made an appointment for one of the hottest days of the year. When we got there, Ty went through our options one more time - and they actually talked us into a beautiful used EOS with low mileage - SAVING US A TON OF CASH!!! Never have I been to a dealer where they talked us into saving money. Even the payment turned out to be lower than expected. Halleljuah! The day was miserably hot - Mike kept us hydrated with water, took us for a spin in the convertible, changed our plates and spent time in the heat explaining all the details of the car. I appreciate the attention to detail, the speed of the transaction (after we finally made up our minds , the courtesy and no pressure. By far, the best car purchase experience I have had. My wife and I had the idea to trade out our 2010 Jetta TDI Sportwagen that had a less than favorable loan interest rate to a new Jetta TDI or Passat TDI. We had seen the excellent financing options available from VW and went to VW of South Charlotte to see if we could make our desires a reality. We met Lee Costin and were immediately made to feel welcome. Lee listened to our ideas and was very patient and knowledgeable as we explored either the Passat or Jetta options. When we decided on the Jetta TDI sedan, Lee guided us through the process to check our qualifications and put us in touch with Ty Matthews. Ty checked our qualifications and gave us several great options to finance our new Jetta and to trade or sell our current car. We opted to sell our car outside of the dealership and Lee and Ty handled all of our ideas and concerns with patience and knowledge. We had previously dealt with the service department at this dealership and found it to be outstanding as well. This dealership is top-notch from the facility to the staff. We came to just look at a car with no intention of buying. The salesperson was extremely nice and apparently knew just the right things to say. He was very down to earth and honest with us. It was a great experience with the sales rep and it was a nice "non-pressured" sales experience. The only point I didn't like was when the sales manager came out but i know thats part of the process.
