Many hemmed and hawed, and some refused to provide such information via email, instead insisting that we come into the dealer, in the middle of a pandemic, in order to get their "best price." Several others kept playing games, coming back after a few emails and insisting that they could offer us X price, but only until close of business. It was really frustrating to have so many dealers engage in such aggressive, misleading, and frankly obnoxious sales practices that are infuriating enough in person, but even worse in the form of harassing phone calls. Bruce from Annapolis Volvo, however, quickly had a very reasonable quote for us, that was by far the best of the initial quotes we obtained. While he held firm on this as his "best price," it was comparable to the gimmicky best offers from a few other dealers. We were happy to go with a dealer that had integrity and didn't try to hide fees or charges and offered a fair price the first time. Christian worked with us on the details and delivered the car to our home, walking us through the paperwork while wearing the appropriate protective equipment. We had one minor issue with the Sensus infotainment system's update function, but their service team came and picked it up, left us a loaner, repaired it via a firmware update, and returned our car to us. One minor quibble was with the relative lack of timely communication from the service department on when the car would get picked up, but that seemed to be a result of lower staffing levels during the pandemic. We probably could have saved a few more bucks going with one of the gimmicky "today only" offers from another dealer or two, but were happy to instead select a dealer that was straight with us from the beginning. More
