The customer service woman who answered the main line was very nice. She went back to the service dept to have someone answer my phone call. I only needed a tire, the tire that came on my new Volvo of less than 1 year old. They had to order the tire, so it took 2 days. Weird. Not offered a loaner either. Then, they never called to let me know the car was finished. Then, within 20 minutes of leaving the Volvo Dealership, the Low Pressure Tire Warning came on for THAT tire. i.will not use this service department again unless i have to (warranty). Its an effort thing. Put in more effort. I can deal with the tire not being in stock, but its super easy to make a phone call or send an email/text Sorry for the bad review, but its how I feel and you asked for a review. THANK YOU!!! As we were traveling from the Eastern Shore over the Bay Bridge, I ran over something that caused us to have a flat tire. We were on our way to an ev As we were traveling from the Eastern Shore over the Bay Bridge, I ran over something that caused us to have a flat tire. We were on our way to an event in Baltimore and thankfully enough had pulled over right before the dealership's exit. As my husband and a good Samaritan changed the tire, I called to inquire how quickly we could get a replacement tire, explaining that we were on our way to an event that started in 90 minutes. The service man I spoke to quickly checked the inventory and welcomed us to come in. He said they would try their best to get us on our way - and they certainly did! When we arrived, we were greeted and our car was taken back almost immediately. With the quick turnaround, we were still able to make it to our event! Our entire family is very grateful for the kindness and quick response we received from the Service Department so that we were able to keep our plans that had been made months in advance! My wife and I bought our Volvos from this dealer a number of years ago, both with fond memories. My wife’s 2011 XC-60 now has 113,000 miles on it and those with similar models may be aware of a well-document of years ago, both with fond memories. My wife’s 2011 XC-60 now has 113,000 miles on it and those with similar models may be aware of a well-documented issue regarding bearings wearing out inside the rear differential. Annapolis Volvo like most dealers won’t repair them. They will however replace the whole unit for just under $12,000. This happy news was conveyed early one morning by Walt from their service department. I’m sure he’s a wonderful guy with many years experience in customer relations…and we all have bad days… but you’d think giving us a repair estimate of $12,000 might come with a grain of empathy or a provision for lower cost alternatives. The only thing he offered was an indifferent shrug and the 800 number for Volvo customer service for any complaints we may have. A call back to Walt a few weeks later to pursue the option of a used differential was never followed up. After much research we discovered these units can be rebuilt for about $3000 but of course the dealer doesn’t make any profit on repairs so they sell you the $12,000 fix. For those who would spend $12,000 as quickly as they might spend $30 to replace a headlamp bulb this review won’t mean much. But to everyone else I would suggest taking the time to research independent specialty shops where rather than offering dohnuts, coffee and a carwash they might provide a sympathetic ear and a realistic solution. More
