We had a great experience purchasing a used car at Annapolis Volvo, they had the car we wanted at a fair price and the people there were easy to work with. Annapolis Volvo, they had the car we wanted at a fair price and the people there were easy to work with. More
This has been one of the most pleasant car buying experiences that I have ever had. I found Arnita and Tricia to be one of the most pleasant, friendly, patient, flexible and coureous Volvo reps that experiences that I have ever had. I found Arnita and Tricia to be one of the most pleasant, friendly, patient, flexible and coureous Volvo reps that I have ever encountered (and I have been a Volvo owner since 1993). I would definitely give them a preferred reference. More
So I am a huge car enthusiast and a volvo person for life. Bought a used 09 C30-R from a co-worker who was going oversees. Only had 24k miles and the 60k mile warranty carried over. Being a car person i life. Bought a used 09 C30-R from a co-worker who was going oversees. Only had 24k miles and the 60k mile warranty carried over. Being a car person i heavily modded my car and love it to death. The only reason i bring it in is because of the free oil changes and brake pads i can get under the warranty. I have a clicking problem and they tried to tell me since i "lowered it (with eibach springs) and have a cold air intake on it as well as various other things, my warranty was void and there would be nothing they could do. I was forced to bring up the magnuson ferguson act (google it) before they would agree to see me. Think im stupid and dont know my stuff just so they can save some money instead of valuing their customers. My clicking noise occurs when i accelerate in gears. They said it was a switch and it was fixed... needless to say when taking it off their parking lot i got into boost and it happened again -____- I guess they dont even test what they install... Again with modding my car, i was considering putting in a turbo timer (tells you when your good to turn your car off when you reach your destination so oil can drain out from the OEM turbo). I called to ask if it had one installed stock (bc some cars do). The "service tech" told me to hold on. I can hear him in the back ground asking what a turbo timer is.... im thinking really!? so what kind of mechanics are they hiring?? The techs seem to be in-experienced high school grad students who can do an oil change at best before needing to reference a Hanes manual on how to do some kind of real service. To add to all of this, the "1-1.5 hour wait time" in my 6 time experience is closer to 3-4 hours. even for my simple check ups with the car. (check everything, plug the computer in, oil change) has taken 2.5 hours for the Shortest ive ever experienced. Thom and Luis seem honest, but Adam is a a-hole. he works there for a paycheck. doesnt seem to have any volvo at heart and doesnt give two shts about customer service except his "surveys" after you visit. I gave a bad survey bc i spoke with someone who called themselves a "tech" who knew little about my car (09 C30), or volvo's at all. Took 5+ hours to do something i could have done in 1, and gives no updates to me as where im at when waiting in the lobby. OH! the last time i was there, as part of their "customer care", they will pull your car around to the side where you enter. i was patient waiting outside when my car was literally about 30 steps away. So i figured, let the guy do the job he's getting paid for... I see him come out, i smile and watch him get in. He grinds my gears 2 times (yes its a 6spd manual). I ran over, knocked on the glass and told him i would do it. YOU WOULD THINK this is his job driving volvo's all day and he shouldnt grind the gears. I was on edge about going back in, tell Adam his employee cant back up my car to get it out of the hill it was on and not hit the car it was parked behind but i held off. im currently at 54k miles. My next check up is around 59k and that'll be it for my 60k warranty. I plan to give this review to the owner of annapolis volvo after my last service and never return. I want to spread this around to inform people of my experience. Maybe you had a good experience and you love the people, well good for you! this is just my take. More
5 star rating for these guys. Found an XC90 online and came in to find that they had a huge selection of Certified Volvos. Drove a few XC90s and when I found the one I wanted they showed me a CARFAX and m came in to find that they had a huge selection of Certified Volvos. Drove a few XC90s and when I found the one I wanted they showed me a CARFAX and market comparison report thing, without me asking. It had been a while since I bought a car but this was great. Felt good about spending money ;). More
It was a pleasure working with Thom and Tricia during my visits to Annapolis Volvo as they were both very cordial and professional. Thom went the extra mile to hold a very sought after S-40 T5 R design in visits to Annapolis Volvo as they were both very cordial and professional. Thom went the extra mile to hold a very sought after S-40 T5 R design in AWD because he knew I was coming all the way from northern Virginia to test drive the vehicle. Tricia was very pleasant, which is a quality that eased the experience of coughing up several thousand dollars (lol). In all, I would and will recommend Annapolis Volvo to friends and colleagues. I leased an 2008 XC90 Volvo from Thom Lamm and found the experience with Annapolis Volvo was enough to bring me back when my lease came to term. I live in Northern Va and checked with the dealerships in my experience with Annapolis Volvo was enough to bring me back when my lease came to term. I live in Northern Va and checked with the dealerships in my area. I almost went with another dealer but found that Thom and the team at Annalpolis Volvo made me most comfortable and worked with me to purchase a new Volvo instead of leasing. I may live in Northern Virginia but my experience with Thom will keep me coming back. I love my 2012 XC60! Thanks. More
I would recomend Thom to anyone looking to buy a Volvo. I accually bought a Volvo from another dealership but I contacted Thom before that purchase because I had questions and concerns about the dealership a accually bought a Volvo from another dealership but I contacted Thom before that purchase because I had questions and concerns about the dealership and the type of service I was receiving from the other dealership. Thom took the time out of his day to discuss my options and even searched for another vehicle like the one I wanted to see if I was getting the most for my money. I would've left the other dealership and took my business to Thom at Anapolis Volvo but my wife was tired of going through the mess and wanted to finish the deal with the first dealership and move on. Thanks to Thom for his great support! More
My recent experience at Annapolis Volvo was great. I was searching online for an Acura TSX and found one here. Although it is not a Volvo the used car department is able to get other makes too. I emailed searching online for an Acura TSX and found one here. Although it is not a Volvo the used car department is able to get other makes too. I emailed about the car and received a response the next day. I came in to test drive the car and it drove beautifully. The salesman, Jacob Wright, was very curtious, professional and straight with me. I don't like to haggle at dealerships so I appreciated this. I had a trade in which they gave me a price on that matched CarMax. This was great because I did not need to make another trip to sell my vehicle there. I also told them I had financing set up with a very low rate. They were able to beat it, so this saved me yet another trip to the bank. So I was able to trade in my vehicle, purchase one and finance all right there in one trip, in one day. So that is not all. After dealing with the salesman the next step is talking to the finance and business manager. Usually most people don't like doing this either, but she, Tricia Pruitt, was so very pleasant to work with. She was also very nice and personable. I of course liked her even more for getting me a great rate. Over all my experience was great and everyone there is a class act. More
I have been looking to replace my aging BMW for several years, and studying Consumer Reports Reliability Pricing guides forever. I finally narrowed my search down to a 2011, 2010 Volvo XC70. I then began m years, and studying Consumer Reports Reliability Pricing guides forever. I finally narrowed my search down to a 2011, 2010 Volvo XC70. I then began my unpleasant journey through Northern Virginia Volvo dealerships, both in person and the Internet. Unsatisfactory at every turn, female working to purchase via phone and internet contact initially was either disregarded, or created attempts to take advantage via unrealistic pricing. I finally located the vehicle I desired through the Volvo Company's on line Inventory search which led me to Annapolis Volvo and Mr. Lamm 42 miles from my home, but $3000 dollars less than the Northern Va offers, and willing to discuss with me via phone and internet. When I finally arrived to test drive the vehicle, Thom and his folks were superb, kind, patient, professional and had no hidden pricing or attempts to change my mind. I ended up buying one of the most beautiful, safest cars I have ever owned with better financing than my own Credit Union. Amazing- would highly recommend them to anyone, regardless of the drive. Thanks Annapolis Volvo! More
