I needed a new car but I wanted to buy my first Brand new one. I went to Honda in Waldorf Maryland and met Frank Carnucci outside. We told him the car I was looking at 2019 Honda Fit and he took us right to one. I went to Honda in Waldorf Maryland and met Frank Carnucci outside. We told him the car I was looking at 2019 Honda Fit and he took us right to it. He showed me around the car and was showing me each detail about the car. I wanted to test drive so we did. We drove around and I thought just a typical couple mins to test drive and back but Frank was showing me each featuring the car had for me driving. To the cameras, Bluetooth, to even backing up the car. We went back and started talking price and they worked with me on the price I wanted! Frank wasn't over pushy, he was personable. I could tell he really wants to make the customers happy with the choice of car. They cleaned my car inside and out with a full tank of gas at the end and when I was ready to drive off Frank again went over everything with me again to make sure I got all the information! While I was driving off he was waving goodbye outside and watched me drive off. He has passion and is a very good person. My parents were there with me and said they hated buying cars because of the sells people but this experience with Frank and everyone at Waldorf Ford was the best experience they ever had. Upon arriving for an oil change, one of the sales representatives approached me to ask if I was interested in a vehicle. I told him "no unless he can get me into something comparable to what I was c representatives approached me to ask if I was interested in a vehicle. He begin showing me V6 vehicles for prior years as he shared they did not make that engine any longer, When I asked what's comparable his response was 'The Touring" . He then began to show me the 1.5 Hondas. From there everything went south. We went inside and spoke with Mike C. He asked what I wanted White or Silver, I shared "Blue". I explained the monthly amount I wanted to maintain. We agreed to 72 months 3.99 interest at 537.99 monthly with no cash down. Then I met with Tyler. I provided him with $600 cash down and thought he had somehow worked something out that I could have the extended warranty with gap 72 months (he was so deep in thought of what he could do and I was confident with his conversation). Long story short, I drove the car home and did not get the feel of my Honda v6. Upon arriving home, I discovered by your website that your Waldorf store have SEVERAL Honda Accord 2.0 which is comparable to Toyota Camry V6. I reviewed my paperwork and realized that all the pointing and signing was not what Tyler and I agreed to. Tyler gave me the impression that he was offering discounts and applying things so that it would work out (at the end) with the same monthly payment. Point and sign, point and sign. I realized I paid $600 and ended up with 84 months with the extended warranty and gap. Mike basically advised me, too bad, so sad. He ultimately worked out something to allow me to drive off with the Blue Honda Accord 2.0 that I should have started with upon revealing what I wanted. On yesterday when I asked the sales agent Darien if he realized that there were Honda 2.0's on the lot, he replied " He thinks there was one or 2"..... I feel as though I was penalized due to his oversight or unawareness. It took me almost a full workday to work something out with the General manager. The frustrating thing is that he was going to send me home driving the same car that THEY WANTED to sell-the white or silver 1.5 turbo Accord. I was willing and ready to return with my 2015 Honda Accord V6. Ultimately we came to somewhat of a happy medium. Feeling trapped, I settled for the upgrade that I mentioned when I stepped into the sales area-without the extended warranty. If I had the opportunity to re-live this day, I would have never made the purchase....I would have waited until my v6 was paid off which would have been the wiser thing to do, My purpose of agreeing to buy a new vehicle comparable to my V6 was to see how close if not lower than my former monthly payments. *** If there would be any way to resolve my frustration, it would be to return my 2015 Honda Accord EXL V6 in the shape I left it. Since that most likely cannot happen, then I will leave that to the powers to be.
