The classic dealership experience of over-promise and under-deliver. We had to follow up several times for simple requests and heard different things from different sales reps. I brought my car in for a timing chain issue. The mechanic refused to even look at the timing chain. Instead, he insisted that my issue was related to corrosion on my fuse box. I asked the shop m The mechanic refused to even look at the timing chain. Instead, he insisted that my issue was related to corrosion on my fuse box. I asked the shop manager, Kelly, to get involved. He also insisted there was nothing wrong with the timing chain and refused to even look at it. Everyone insisted that I pay over $1200 to fix the corrosion before they would even consider looking at the timing chain. I decided to take my car elsewhere since the mechanic refused to look at the issue I asked him to look at. In addition, everyone I spoke with was rude and condescending. It was an awful, infuriating experience. I took my car to Rosedale Chevrolet. They looked at the timing chain, as I requested. They were kind to me from day 1. And guess what? The timing chain was bad. They replaced it and the car runs like a dream… even with the supposedly inoperable fuse box. I have no confidence in any of the mechanics in your shop to be able to correctly diagnose an issue. I feel like they were trying to extort me. It felt like willful lies to get me to pay for things I didn’t need. And the sales team made a predatory offer of $100 to buy my inoperable car, that was only inoperable because the mechanics are either incredibly bad at their jobs or were trying to steal from me. My brand new vehicle has a defective panel and getting it replaced has been very difficult and it’s still not done. I had to take it to a separate shop (another Walser location) and they said that shop neede replaced has been very difficult and it’s still not done.
