I talked face to face with the mechanic that worked on my truck he said the service advisors don't know xxxx about automobiles and give little to no detail when asking them to troubleshoot a problem. I brought my vehicle to Walser Bloomington GMC due to a persistent buzzing noise occurring over bumps. It was removed, and I was still charged for a full hour of diagnostic labor. The issue persisted on the drive home, so I contacted my service advisor, Brian, who scheduled a follow-up visit. Upon returning, I was told by three staff members they could not hear the noise. However, during a drive with the foreman, Kelly, the sound was immediately apparent and documented as originating from multiple areas — the front and rear suspension, sunroof, and driver-side door. After keeping the vehicle for several days, the dealership addressed only some of the concerns. The sunroof noise was resolved by adding insulation around loose wiring in the headliner, but the driver door and suspension noises remained. Despite partial resolution and repeated validation of the issue by staff, I was denied a refund for the initial diagnostic charge. I attempted to escalate the concern to the service manager, but was met with resistance and a lack of accountability for the incomplete repair and misdiagnosis.
