To clarify, with items like a rear main seal, warranty companies typically require that the component meets a specific failure threshold before approving replacement. If it’s only showing signs of a minor seep or early leak, they often will not authorize the repair yet. I know that can feel counterintuitive—especially when you’d prefer to address it proactively rather than risk a bigger issue later. Where we missed the mark here is in how that was communicated and how the overall situation felt to you. Given the distance you traveled, the time you took off work, and the expectation around your warranty coverage, I can absolutely understand why this didn’t sit right and felt frustrating.
