Brendan was the employee who serviced my 2011 RAV 4. After we brought in the car for an oil change and a multi-point inspection, I was given the all-clear to take the vehicle home. I drove it out of th After we brought in the car for an oil change and a multi-point inspection, I was given the all-clear to take the vehicle home. I drove it out of the Walser garage, then immediately parked it to use the Walser toilet facilities. The car was completely dead when I attempted to start it minutes later. I fwent inside and found Brendan, who was baffled. He suggested the battery might be the issue, even though it had just passed their inspection, and had been replaced in 2024. I reluctantly agreed to have the car jump-started there. After 2 attempts, it started, and I was again told it was good to go. Mere minutes later, on the 494 W entrance ramp, the car completely died, a second time. I called Walser again, but got someone different. They gave me a towing company number. I called it and they kindly hauled the car back to Walser. I eventually began conversation with Emily, and my 1-star rating does not include her, as she has always been top notch. Here, too, she tried to be helpful. I had requested from her to be reimbursed for the nearly $200 towing fee, and she stated she would speak to her manager. Ultimately, I never got any return call, nor any resolution. Brendan should not have sent me away with an unsafe, non-functional vehicle that had just been "inspected", and he should have thought deeper than to shoo me away with only his coworker jump starting my non-functional car. Emily was the only person who even attempted to assist me, and she wasn't even the employee initially involved wth the car. Had I made it onto the highway with the car stalling there, it could have been disastrous. I am still awaiting reimbursement for the towing charge! More
