"I feel ripped off"
- Rob4533I feel ripped off because I had service at Wellesley Mazda today. There was recall on my Mazda 6 rear brakes. The e brake stopped working because of whatever the defect was. I needed rear brake pads and rotors anyway. But since they had to remove the calipers which is most of the labor I can tell you (since I do my own brakes sometimes). Why did they charge me 489.95. Shouldn't the recall have covered the cost of most of the labor? Why did I get charged so much? It didn't hit me until I got home. It was long wait at the dealership and I just wanted to go.

- Jenny123I have never drove a Mazda before I came to Wellesley Mazda! Anthony was my sales consultant and he was a very knowledgeable in the model I was interested in taking for a test drive. Along with answering all the questions and concerns about the Mazda-CX-5 model I was interested in, he also had intrigued me into looking into some of the other vehicles that were there so I could have my options open. I am interested in suggesting one of the models he had shown me to my wife for a new car. Great service here as a whole! Thank you Anthony.

- Unhappy consumerWellesley Mazda's service dept is horrible. I purchased a new car from them in June. They had no problem sweet talking me then. I brought it in for service today and sat there for 2 hours before they came and told me they didn't have the part. They then made me prepay for the part sighting it was too expensive. Really whoever had to do that. When I called to speak to the manager he outright lied to me and told me it was a misunderstanding. I will never go there again and have reported them to the better business bureau.

- cmadden7435They might be great when you're paying them, not when you want to get your NEW car fixed on their warranty... I bought a 2011 Mazda 3 here in late June 2011. By the end of 2012 it was making this awful high pitched shrill noise whenever I used the air. I made an appointment with THIS dealership because I had bought my car here and my sales man calls me every few months to see "how I like my Mazda", I had generally liked the place so far. I drove two hours down there and explained what was going on. I was very clear on the fact that it didn't ALWAYS make the noise, it was sporadic, and that it didn't make it when the vent was on 4. First of all they quoted me a price of $220, which was ridiculous to me because my car is still under warranty. Anyway, the kid comes back an hour later and tells me I am all set to go, "there is nothing wrong with your car". I told him there most certainly was something wrong with it, the noise is unbearable when it comes on and it doesn't always do it. After trying to explain this to him several times he shrugs an says "I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TELL YOU". I said, I know I am going to get back in the car and get halfway home and it is going to start up again...he says "make sure the dial isn't stuck between 2 numbers"... sorry do you think I don't know how to turn a DIAL? At this point he and the other mechanics are looking at me like I am crazy. So I leave. Go back to my car...dial is on 4! So of course it wasn't making the noise. About half an hour into my trip home...sound is back.... Upset about the encounter, I write an email to my salesman and the general manager explaining that I was extremely displeased with the "service" I received. I also BRIEFLY mentioned that I thought it was ridiculous that a new car would have a problem like this and that I would be charged $220 when it was still under warranty. Two weeks later I finally get a call from the salesman. He gets right into a defensive conversation about the fact that I was upset about the cost. Very rude. "I don't know what to tell you" again was the gist. I finally interrupted him and said the REAL PROBLEM was the horrid service, he suggested I bring it back in....Yeah right. In the end, I drove it up to Tully Mazda in Nashua...didn't take him long to figure out it was the blower....which is covered under warranty. My car is fixed at no cost and NO THANKS to Wellesley Mazda. When the GM doesn't care about how their customers are treated, it speaks volumes. GO ELSEWHERE. The kid at the service desk name was Max, it wasn't available for the selection above. I don't know the service man's name.

- BCarswellThis dealership has the worst customer service and overall quality of service I have ever encountered. Do NOT get your car serviced there. In addition to being charging too much, you can also expect to be lied to, treated unfairly, and screwed over in any way possible. If you're lucky, they'll even cause extra damage to your vehicle and then denying doing so. I highly recommend taking your car ANYWHERE but there.

- burke3669Always had a great experience with this dealeprotrship both with the service department and sales department. I bought my 2003 Mazda Protege here and the flexibility of the hours in the service department are convienant to my schedule and if I need a loaner car it is always available to me.

- lryan32I bought my car from Wellsley Mazda in 2007. The last 2 years has been wonderful. I bring it in for regular service and I have had a great experience every time. They get me in and out quickly and my car is washed every time. Its so easy booking my visits on line, and they are great about sending out email reminders. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else. I definitely plan on buying my next car from this dealership as well.

- mmacalpineI feel that both the sales and service teams over at Wellesley Mazda do an exceptional job. From handling my original lease, to the buy-out to any minor service issues that have come up they have made everything proceed seamlessly. The entire staff goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service. With my most recent visit, I had emailed one night informing the dealership about an issue with my drains. I received an immediate response back, but even better I received a phone call first thing the next morning. They let me know that everything was all set, new parts had been ordered and they would arrange a time for me to bring the car in. They have been very pro-active with anything I bring to their attention. It is for this reason I have already sent two friend and family members to them to buy cars and will continue to do so in the future.

- Generic Auto BuyerI had a decent experience getting my car serviced (typical maintenance plus investigation for some faulty parts). The mechanic was very professional and courteous, and called me a few times to detail what he was doing and how they were progressing. The service was completed within the day and I picked up my car with no hassle in the evening. I realize this is not description of my experience is not outstanding/unusual in any way, but I'm adding this because some of the other Mazda dealerships around Boston have gotten pretty bad service reviews so I wanted folks to know that Wellesley Mazda was a reasonable option.
