Wore mask and gloves in my car. They gave me full synthetic oil when I asked, no cost, even though I offered to pay difference that cheapskate Genesis will not reimburse for, everyone great, I wish this dealer was in Wash DC, highly recommend them!!! Seeing the great reviews that have been given makes it all the more unfortunate that our experience 2 weeks ago was a stark contrast; beginning with the car not being ready for us to see or test drive whe all the more unfortunate that our experience 2 weeks ago was a stark contrast; beginning with the car not being ready for us to see or test drive when we arrived after a near 2 hour drive. As it turned out, tired exhausted and frustrated, we completed the purchase near closing (arriving a little before 3p) but wasn’t able to drive away with the car. But it doesn’t stop there. The sales manager, Michael, came over to speak with us to renege on the offer that we accepted prior to driving nearly 2 hours to the dealership. After seeing that we would not accept his attempted effort, he resigned to “approve” the offer and allowed the sale to move forward. For my personal financial benefit, I was not going to finance the vehicle but rather use my credit card for the purchase; which I have done before with a car purchase at a dealership. Although credit cards are a form of payment at that establishment, the finance manager would not allow me to make the purchase with my credit card. It was said that there was a $3000 credit card purchase limit. I asked where that policy was written and available to the customer. That was never disclosed. The only explanation offered was “that’s our policy” and that the general manager would not make an exception. I was not prepared to use another form of payment but I managed to make it happen. The only saving grace in this horrible experience was our salesperson, Jernir Etienne. He did his best to accommodate us throughout the whole ordeal. He along with Clarence receive the only star I am able to give for this car buying experience. More
Had a mistake with an appt being cancelled. While I was notified via email to the cancellation, I immediately called and got white glove service. Customer service is a lost art these days but, not with Werner Hyundai /Genesis. Marcus and Dee quickly corrected the error, and Tre picked up, as well as delivered my car. I have to say, they are all three wonderful representatives of a great company! Thanks for the great customer service!! More
