It had just been serviced by Kuhn Honda 2 weeks ago. I pulled over and noted the metal cowling under the engine had come unattached; it appeared as if several bolts were missing. I stopped at Wesley Chapel Honda Service and was quickly approached by Shauna Sicurella. She immediately recognized the issue, then ensured the problem was corrected within a matter of minutes. I was back on the road without any adverse impact to my vacation plans. The actions taken by Shauna were outstanding, a wonderful example of exceptional customer service. More

Lessons learned The reason I gave this dealership 4 stars is because we were able to find a 3 year old Honda in the price range we could afford thanks to our sales gu The reason I gave this dealership 4 stars is because we were able to find a 3 year old Honda in the price range we could afford thanks to our sales guy, we had a pleasant experience with our finance guy, and the used car director was nice to work with. However, I learned some lessons after my car buying experience here. One of the lessons is to look under the hood before you buy. I always thought that if you purchase from a dealership you really don`t have to worry about checking under the hood. We were sold a car that had the original battery inside with BAD corrosion. When terminals begin to corrode, you can start having issues like dead batteries, or poor charging. Something like this was a big warning sign and I would never expect a car to be sold like that. Two weeks after buying it, we could not start it. Luckily, after having to do some talking the dealership agreed to replace the battery for free so we were grateful for that. Another lesson is that you have to negotiate things b e f o r e you purchase the vehicle. For example, make sure to ask if the car comes with two keys and if it doesn`t see if you can negotiate the second key before you agree to buy. The cars I had in the past always had $20 type of keys so I didn`t worry about the second key when I was purchasing the car. I was not prepared for a $200 replacement key. If I knew the car came with one key and a replacement key was $200 I would have tried to negotiate to have it included OR I would have considered a different vehicle. Another example is, if there is something that you see wrong with the car while test driving it, make sure to ask for them to fix it before you buy the car or have it written in the contract that this is something that will be fixed at no expense to you. We clearly heard a noise when the air was on, and we thought this was something that would have been taken care of when we took the car in to service within 30 days of purchase. That was not the case and it will now cost us $265 to replace the blower motor. The final thing I want to share is that I did not appreciate one of the sales managers throwing it back in our face multiple times that we should have purchased an extended warranty and because we declined it and because we purchased a car without the warranty, we are basically at fault and on our own. The fact that we did not purchase an extended warranty (on a 2012 Honda which has an excellent reputation for being a reliable car, by the way) had NOTHING to do with our car not starting two weeks after purchase due to battery corrosion. But I understand that buying a used car comes with a risk and for that reason at the end of the day I would still recommend this dealership. More
