I raved about Wesley Chapel Toyota in March and here we are in July and the Honeymoon is over. This is not a disgruntled customer review as much as it's my observations as to what's wrong at this Toyot are in July and the Honeymoon is over. This is not a disgruntled customer review as much as it's my observations as to what's wrong at this Toyota dealership. In the beginning you will be treated like a king, however, that comes to an end once you expect the "king treatment" each time you visit. When they had to put some leather on the console in my car, they loaned me a car, however, when the leather seats (they installed and charged a premium for) started to come up off the seats (and begin to bubble up), the guy named Bobby was pretty condescending in his attitude and approach toward repairing the problem. The tech took the seats apart and when he was done with his repair, it took one short hour for the seats to revert back to the original problem/condition. This time, I paid for the loaner car. They thought it would take an entire day so I would be charged $65.00 for the rental car, however, since the repair took two hours, I was charged $12.84 and got my car with bad seats and a new surprise - a scratched up middle console where it was scratched from either the seats being pulled out of the front or by some type of tool. Again, there was no resolution to this problem. As for the Prius, it's a nice entry level hybrid for the money but, then again, $30K for plastic, leather seat covers and a cardboard feel simply does not cut it. I even opted to trade it in for a Hybrid Camry but, no one was too anxious to keep my business as they offered me a lesser trade in value then where I ultimately purchased a new car (a Century Kia, Tampa) - Go figure. The real problem is the Prius is not well appointed or well made. It feels cheap to drive and it's simply not worth getting a few extra miles in exchange for a low resale value, comfort and safety. I'm glad no one got back to me to quickly about the Hybrid Camry, as it gave me a few days to look around and, after reading an objective review on the Optima Kia Hybrid in the Wall Street Journal, I visited three Kia dealerships and purchased a 2012 Kia Optima Hybrid (with the premium package) for $9499.00 plus my Prius. This was a better deal than two other Kia dealerships and much better than Wesley Chapel's offer to take back their Prius and trade it in for a Camry. I'm getting near 40 on the highway in the Kia and the car is simply beautiful and FEELS like a car, not a clown cart. I have heard a phrase being used to describe the purchase/sale of a Prius and that's "One and Done" and I was DONE with Toyota, the Prius and Wesley Chapel Toyota. Be aware that the majority of the reviews for this dealership are heavily solicited by the sales people. They have an entire pitch as to how to leave positive reviews for them on Google and for when Toyota contacts you for a rating of this dealership. What cost Wesley Chapel this bad review is a LACK of consistent customer care, charging for a loaner car and basically not addressing the problem with seats they charged a premium for. yes, the people are friendly and cordial, however, when it comes to customer care, they have some issues. BTW, I purchased my Kia at Century Kia in Tampa and Jesus and Hector were great! This review is marked Liked: Value, service - This is NOT the case. More

My Wife and I went to Wesley Chapel Toyota on 6/22/12 to see a 2011 Toyota Sienna XLE and was informed that it was sold. We met with salesman John P. Weicherding. John was friendly, knowlegeable, and corteous and took the time and extra effort to make our buying experience at Wesley Chapel Toyota a pleasant one. Although we arrived at the dealership late in the day and it was raining, John showed us a 2012 XLE 8-seater which was just the perfect vehicle for our family. John remained at the dealership, during the paperwork, helped us to set up my cell phone with the blue tooth system, went through all the features of the vehicle with us, and remained until we drove away with the vehicle at 10:30pm-now that is service. This was the most stress/hassle free experience in purchasing a vehicle we have ever had. The price was reasonable and the service was awesome.
