As with my previous three cars, I researched the internet for the purchase of my 2012 Honda Civic LX. In 2004, I purchased my first Honda Civic through Huey's Honda - now Frontenac Honda. They were my first choice of purchase because of their nearby location and excellent service department. Pat Huxen at West County Honda was the first to respond to my several inquiries. After a few emails, he assured me that they could meet my purchase price. When Frontenac Honda responded and heard what West County Honda offered I never heard another word from them. After exchanging several emails with the West County Honda internet staff (Pat Huxen, Kris Portnoy and Pebbis)I made an appointment. Kris was my salesperson who I found to be very helpful and honest. Every employee that I dealt with at West County Honda was polite and helpful. In managing a staff of 20 employees, I realize the importance of team work and excellent customer service. West County Honda impressed me as a company that also believes in both. I recommend West County Honda to those who would like a positive experience with their next car purchase! The bad news is that their location is a pretty good distance from my home for any future service work. The good news is that I can take my car to any nearby Honda dealership for service work. I love my new Honda and probably will never purchase anything but a Honda in the future! More

I purchased a 2011 Odyssey from West Co Honda this past Sept. I ordered the Tow package. A transmission Cooler comes with the Tow Package, and it is a very important component. On my first trip to the dealer for an oil change/service, I asked the service tech to verify that a transmission cooler had been installed. The tech returned a few minutes later and sheepishly stated that,do to an oversight, the cooler had not been installed! I contacted the Service Manager, Todd Feuerhaken, and explained the situation. He admitted that it has happened before and he was sorry. I told Mr. Feuerhaken that I have towed several times since purchasing the Odyssey and was now concerned that the transmission had been damaged since the cooler had not been installed. He agreed to extend the PowerTrain Warranty on my Odyssey to 75k miles over the phone and said he would call me back ,soon, to tell me when to come to the dealership to sign and pick up the warranty paperwork. I have still not heard from Mr. Feuerhaken, or any member of the West County Honda staff. I hope to add to this review that I was contacted by West County Honda and Mr. Feuerhaken kept his word, but for now, I will buy my next Honda from a different dealer. Those of you out there considering a tow package on your vehicle, follow-up with the service department (or any mechanic) to verify that the dealer installed the equipment you purchased. And, don't forget to make a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. More
We negotiated a great price on a used vehicle and we were ready to sign. We turned down the "optional" warranty package (which by the way was a non-dealer package and has bad reviews written about them), the ready to sign. They said they had to raise our rate by almost 3%! We refused to accept this and we walked out. We contacted Bommarito Honda and bought a new car instead for almost the same price. Unbelievable unprofessionalism, untruthful negotiations and quite frankly, illegal business practices. Buyers please beware! More
When I purchased my Honda Accord at West County Honda in April 2011, my overall experience working with the dealership was very positive. I have thoroughly enjoyed my new car and been very pleased with its performance. Last Thursday I experienced an issue (due to operator failure) when the key was left in the ignition while at the gym. My car would not start upon trying to leave. I called the Dealership and spoke with Chris. Although the Service Department was closed for the night, Chris called Todd, their Sevice Manager, at home and informed him of my situation. Chris then provided me with Todd's direct number. After speaking with Todd about my problem, although he was relaxing at home enjoying game 6 of the World Series, he graciously offered to help me, jumped in his car and drove 30 miles into the city to assist me. Todd was friendly and professional, making sure everything was working properly before returning home. Todd's willingness to go the extra mile not only resolved my situation, it provided me with confidence and peace of mind that West County Honda and its staff are willing to do whatever it takes to make sure their customers are satisfied and well cared for and reinforcing my belief that I chose the right dealer to purchase my car from. Also, If all Sales Associates are like Mr. Ellis, this dealership must have an outstanding team of individuals. My experience with Sales Associate Stephen Ellis was so much different than with others I've had in the past. He knows his product and listens to the customer with a great deal of patience. He started his work with me at approx. 9:30 AM and we agreed to a deal at approx. 6:30 PM (after test driving 3 different vehicles and much discussion in between.) While he does not use "pressure" or "urgency" type sale tactics, he certainly knows how to close the sale (even though he may have had a few doubts since it took so long). I was impressed with his "energy" level and kind, friendly disposition. I have to add here that it was Internet Specialist, Heather Roberts, that got me into the dealership through her prompt follow-up with my request via e-mail and phone conversation. In addition, at the end of a very long day, the Finance Manager also was a pleasure to work with (even though he knew I was anxious to get out of there and & get home to watch the St. Louis Cardinals in game 6 of an awesome, historic game!)
