I filled out a form on the internet for West County Honda and was called by Pebbis within 2 hours of my form submission. Dealing with her made me want to come in. She sent me information on the 6-7 vehicles I was considering and I decided to go right in and test drive them. She then put me in touch with Sales Guy Shawn Q. Shawn did not pressure me at all, answered my questions and provided me with keys for all the cars I wanted to drive. Once the decision was final for the car I wanted, even though it was past closing for the dealership, they all worked with me to get it done that night and I drove home in my new-to-me car. The finance person, I believe her name was Jessie or Jessica, laid it all out. It was easy to understand, no hidden sneaky business at all, and I really appreciated her candor and transparency with the finance charges and warranties. I need to get a small chip in the windshield repaired and actually look forward to it as the customer waiting areas are really awesome. My 8 year old wants to go with me; they have a kid play area, cookies, and the entire staff was so kind to him, especially Steve. It was the best car purchasing experience I've ever had, and the folks at West County Honda are to thank for that. I look forward to keeping my new-found relationship with them going for a very long time and have already recommended them to my friends, family and colleagues. More
Overall my purchasing experience was great. Steve was great; friendly; polite; accomadating. I went in with my wife and we ended up buying a new Accord. All sales Managers lied. Brad McGrew started the whole story. Kept on telling me stories about getting my car that were not true. When his lies caught up next sales manager Chris stepped in. He too lied about my car delivary which was paid in cash already so then Bill Donald took over. He also lied. After all the grief and complains to Honda Customer service I finally rec'd my car. Orderd on April 30 th 2011. Paid on June 9th (cash). Not deliverd till 6/23/11. If the managers lie to the customers ( 3 of them) how are other emplyees expected to behave?. All they had to do was be frank with me. Have never had such an experience...this was my 4 th Honda purchase ( first from West County Honda). They all lied so much I could not believe anything they said. Left three to four messages for the owner and he never responded. I have never had to purchase a car from a salesman and then have three other managers involved ... and even then have to be told lies. An extremely frustrating experience and a total waste of my precious time. More
Had a great experience here. We worked mostly with Shawn and Bill (manager). This was a used car for my 18 yr old daughter. It was her first car. Shawn knew this was a special night for my daughter- being her first car and all and at the end when she went out to take the car home he had tied a couple of balloons to it! She loved it Everyone there was very nice and it was a great experience for my daughter! We will be back. More
I can rate this dealer more favorably when they follow through on their promise of a check that they still owe me. I've had the car for almost a week and no one has bothered to tell me that my financing went through or ask if everything is OK with the new vehicle. They are lacking the in the communication after the sale department. More
This was the most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. Everyone was very professional and helpful. The car salesman, Chris Paffrath amd the sales manager. We Traveled all the way from Kansas City, where we couldn't get a good deal on a Honda Cr-v. I plan to send my mom, who is also looking for a new vehicle to them, and as soon as I am ready to buy a car, I too will make the trip to buy from them. Great customer service as well. Usually buying a car is like pulling teeth, they made it a walk in the park. Thanks to everyone at West County Honda. More
We really came in to look, not buy but we were treated with such respect and courtesy, shown just what we were looking for and given the best deal possible we could not refuse. After the sale the same day Shawn arranged to have 2 other salespersons (only because he had an appointment with someone coming in to the dealership) to drive our New Element to our house in Illinois with the 2nd guy following to get both salesmen back to the dealer. I consider that over the top, quality customer care. (My husband is not able to drive due to his eyesight right now)This action prevented us from having to get someone to bring us back to your dealership at a later day. All in all our expereince was great. We will refer anyone who is looking to you dealership. More
Did not have a good experience with West County Honda. I had purchased a Honda from the former dealership at that location some years back, so thought I would purchase my new CRV there. My salesmen did had purchased a Honda from the former dealership at that location some years back, so thought I would purchase my new CRV there. My salesmen did not have the exact model/color of the CRV on the lot, so they checked with their affiliates, and said they had the model in Chicago that had some extras which they would sell for the same price offered for my original request. That sounded quite promising, so I signed a contract for that vehicle and they requested a $1,000 deposit check. I was promised the vehicle was in Chicago and would be delivered in approx. 3 days. When I did not hear from anyone from West County, I called my salesman and asked if everything was alright. I was told that the dealer in Chicago would not "trade" West County my contracted vehicle for an equitable deal for West County Honda. When I reminded my salesman that we had a contract, he said he would check again and probably could get my vehicle in about 6 days. Again, nothing. I had to initiate all calls. No one called me to update me in any way unless I initiated a call. Again, the 6 days promised delivery date passed. I called after hearing NOTHING, and was told by the salesman that he would call me back that evening after doing another check. I never received that call. After about 2 weeks of this nonsense and no vehicle, I called and asked the salesman at West County what he decided to do about this, since he did not honor my contract and deliver the vehicle promised. He said they simply could not produce the vehicle due to supply problems. I said I needed my deposit back. Saleman asked if I wanted him to tear it up or did I want him to mail it. I said emphatically that he should mail it to me. He said he would put it in the mail. That was over two weeks ago. I still didn't receive that check in the mail. (I live 60 miles from the dealership). I spent $30 to stop payment on my check. There was little trust in me left for this sales job. I just found the vehicle I wanted at another Missouri dealer and went home with it the same day. More
