repair of 2007 toyota corolla I have a 2007 Toyota corolla which did not have power over 30-40 mph. It sounded like the engine was bogging down, Sent it to Toyota in Orchard Park. I have a 2007 Toyota corolla which did not have power over 30-40 mph. It sounded like the engine was bogging down, Sent it to Toyota in Orchard Park. Mind you I did not have any check engine lights. They said the catalytic converter was clogged and needed replacement , of course their upselling and 101 point inspection was completed , complimentary, they say, who was paying for that labor? Anyway after declining their upselling and just fix the exhaust problem, coughing up $1900.00 plus, and drove it home, no lights. Next day, I went to work and the check engine light comes on. I tested it with a code reader that said the o2 sensor was bad. I bought one and proceeded to install. Well the technicians, well trained as they say, never unplugged the old o2 sensor from the harness and twisted the wires removing it from the converter, damaging it. Looking at the threads, they were stripped, good job, so called technicians. Of course they reinstalled the junk o2 sensor in the new converter. I called them about it and of course everything was done correctly by them and hey, make another appointment. I took it to them verses the mom and pop shops which I thought had expert and knowledgeable repair technicians, dead wrong. More
