West Herr dealership told my son our Toyota Camry did not pass inspection because the emergency brake cable was frozen. There was nothing wrong with the cable. I took it for a test drive and engaged the park pass inspection because the emergency brake cable was frozen. There was nothing wrong with the cable. I took it for a test drive and engaged the parking brake. The rear wheels locked up and the car skidded to a stop. Every year we have the vehicle rustproofed which lubricates the brake cables. Clearly there was nothing wrong with the emergency brake system, although they wanted to charge $1,500 to fix the so called problem. I took the car to another repair center and the car passed inspection without issue. I will not be returning to this dealership for ANYTHING! More
