Just like almost everyone else - I hate car shopping. We came in not entirely sure what we were looking for. We knew features that we wanted, and certain makes/models we wanted to look at and test dr We came in not entirely sure what we were looking for. We weren't sure if we were ready to buy yet and we already had a mindset that we would not get talked into buying that day if we weren't ready to. Especially after going to a few other dealerships and having the vultures swoop in on us, we were on the defensive when we got there. Fortunately we had the pleasure of working with Noah. When he greeted us I was originally going to let my boyfriend do the talking, he is better at "No" than I am, but it became clear early on that Noah was actually listening and considering what my boyfriend had to say. He took us around the West Hills Autoplex, and pointed out cars that fit the description of what we were interested in, he pulled up their info and answered questions as we went, after circling around we decided there were a few we would like to drive so he did the appropriate paperwork and got us going with that. He took us on a nice loop near the dealerships where we got to see how the cars felt on the highway, and back roads. He answered a TON of questions about quite a few cars, not only the ones we test drove either. He was really patient and willing to answer any we threw at him. We decided we liked the Mazda we drove, so we agreed to go see what kind of price we were looking at with taxes and fees and all that. While we were out driving I'd given the keys to my Honda to them to see what they would give us on trade as well. Noah went and got Tre, who I believe is the assistant sales manager, if I remember correctly? We bonded over my Emperors New Groove Wallet, so that was fun. He was very nice as well, he just came across a little strongly at times. The only thing about this visit that was a little frustrating is how long it took them to come up with a price on the car and price for my trade in. This had nothing to do with Noah or Tre, I do also understand we came in on a Sunday afternoon and there weren't many employees working, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but we sat at that table for a while. (So maybe just don't go in on a Sunday afternoon). When we were presented with the paperwork we decided for a decision this large we needed to go home and think about it and talk it over more before we made a final decision. Tre of course asked if there was anything he could do to get us in the new car today, but when we said it was just a lot of money and we didn't want to be impulsive with our decision. He said he understood because buying a car and a house are the biggest financial decisions people generally have to make and it made sense we didn't want to just jump into it. I appreciated that. They made sure we got their business cards and we were on our way. The next day my boyfriend texted Noah asking a few more questions, which were answered. We left work early and went back to try to make a deal. We had agreed we weren't going to trade in my car, we thought we could make quite a bit more selling it on our own. When we got back we met up with Noah and asked even MORE questions, then said we should go talk numbers. We told him we decided not to trade in my car, and we decided we would put a little more down than we had originally talked about. He - very respectfully - asked why we decided not to trade in the car, and we were honest that we thought we could do better on our own. He asked if we would reconsider if he could get us more for the trade in, we came up with a number that we thought would make it worth it and he went to work with whoever it is that makes those decisions (he told us who he was going to talk to, I just cant remember who it was). He came back with a number much closer, and I believe this is when Tre came over to say hello and see if we needed anything. We told him we were going to hold strong with the number we said and if they wouldn't give us that much for the trade, we would leave with that car. I would like to make it clear that I understand this is how dealerships do things. I am not holding Noah nor Tre responsible for the decision maker trying to meet us more in the middle with the trade in offer, we just weren't willing to meet there. Tre and Noah went to talk to the decision maker again and this time met our required number so we moved forward with paperwork. We went to work with Chad for the loan portion of the paperwork. He noticed the screen saver on my phone was of German Shepherds, he has a GSD puppy also, so we talked about that for a minute, his is adorable! We were going through paperwork and it was going pretty smoothly until we got to the extended warrantee, we weren't sure we wanted it, but let him go through how it could be of benefit to us so we could make an informed decision. We were on the fence still, so he asked if we had a Costco membership, because that would lower the price some, even after that we decided we didn't want it and told him no thank you. He just shy of argued with us on why we should go for it, it was kind of condescending and made us feel like we were stupid for not signing up for something he thought was a good idea even though we didn't want it. We shouldn't feel like we're in trouble or like we're doing the wrong thing for saying no thank you to an OPTION. He went through the numbers again and showed how it barely added anything onto the monthly payment. It isn't about the monthly payment for us, it's about the total cost of the car, and it added thousands. His entire demeaner changed for the next, I don't know, 10-15 minutes of paperwork? It was way less friendly and over the top like it had been, it was very short and to the point. It did eventually go back to what it was, but the room felt tense for a bit. We had discussed earlier how it was his Friday and it had been a longgg week, which I understand, so I hope that he was just tired and that he isn't usually so pushy. When we got all of that done we went out to the car so Noah could show us a few more of the necessary features (made sure we could turn the headlights on, windshield wipers, etc.) The receptionist congratulated us on the way out, not sure of her name but she seemed sweet and smiley from the few seconds I saw her throughout our time there. Because we hadn't planned to trade in the Honda it was still full of stuff. We live close by so they had Noah go with us home so we could unload it. Entirely beside the point, but as I mentioned earlier we have two big dogs. We asked if they could be let outside while we unloaded the car and he said yes, he was a very good distraction while we took stuff out of the car and he was great with them as well. (They loved him too). We came back the following day to give them a cashiers check for the remainder of the down payment (there is a limit to how much they can charge per day to a debit card) and to turn in the spare key for the Honda. I cant remember the name of the finance person we worked with that day, but he was great. He seemed to be way more low key and relaxed. Overall, we give West Hills Ford a 5 star rating because Noah was exceptional. We are playing with the idea of getting rid of another one of our vehicles and upgrading to something newer in the somewhat near future and if/when we decide we are ready we will be coming back to talk to Noah before anyone else. Josh Kennedy lied to us in order to make a sale, saying our Escape had a blown turbo and repairs would run over $4,000. So we purchased another vehicle, only to learn later from Colin Arper in the Service Dept. our Escape had yet to be diagnosed. This was in Oct 2021. We are both 82 years old and feel as if we were taken advantage of. Dirty tricks like this do not play well with me and I would warn anyone about making a purchase from West Hills Ford. More

Our experience with West Hills Ford was really great! We were dreading the whole car buying ordeal - especially in today’s market. But the staff was friendly and helpful. He checked the inventory coming in and was able to help us secure a brand new vehicle! He answered all of our questions and helped us move through the purchasing process seamlessly. When we picked up the vehicle Paul had great patience with me, helping me connect my phone and download the Ford app. This is my first car with all of this technology, and it was a bit intimidating, but Paul was very gracious and kind. He made himself available for any additional questions or concerns that might come up. I feel confident in this purchase - and I’m totally loving this car!! More
