I purchased a 2010 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara from Mike Goldberg in July of 2010. To be fair, Mike did a great job and was easy to work with. I had two trades which they were very fair with. While Mike Goldberg in July of 2010. To be fair, Mike did a great job and was easy to work with. I had two trades which they were very fair with. While I paid over invoice for the Jeep I was okay with it since Mike was great to work with, knew his product, etc. The issues started after the first three months. The NAV radio would freeze up and there was a knocking noise comming from the pillar between the driver and rear door. I don't put alot of miles on my car so I waited until its first scheduled service (December) to bring her in. Issue #1. Drop the car off and Mike is writing it up. I mention the knocking noise. His answer; "It's a Wrangler". Just what a customer wants to hear! So I leave the car on December 22. Now granted we had a major snow storm in between but it took about a week to get the car back and they did nothing but change the oil. They had to order the radio and some special grease for the doors. In the meantime there have been bulletins put out by Jeep on the design flaw of the door latches. They fix it with grease!! In the week they had the car not once did they call me. I had to call them. Whenever I followed up with them to see if my car was ready their attitude was "well you have a loaner". Nice!! I wanted my car....not a loaner. So I pick my car up on December 29 knowing they ordered the new radio and would call me when the radio was in. On December 30 my Sirius radio goes out. I call Sirius. They tell me my account was assigned to a new radio on the 29th! Looks like they actually had the radio the whole time but had me pick my car up only to have to return!! So again, I have to call them....nothing proactive from Service. Now I'm involving Joel Sporn, the owner. Joel gets involved and I get a call from Jake apologizing. He says the radio is in, etc. I drop the car off on a Thursday. Its ready the next day. I go to pick it up and the heat doesn't work. They never reconnected some cable when they took the dash apart. So they apologize, yet again, and I have to leave the car there, again. Mid following week I don't hear a thing, as usual, so I call them. Jake apologizes, again, because my car 'fell through the cracks.' He had no idea it was there!! So about another week goes by and they call me that it's ready. I go to pick it up, once again, and make it out of their lot when I find the microphone for the bluetooth phone doesn't work!! So I turn around and have to leave the car yet again! This time Tim Doyle and Joel are involved. They have to order yet another radio! So in the end my car went into service on December 22 and it wasn't ready and completely fixed until January 25th. Bottom line for the service department.....these guys are the Keystone Cops. The operation is too big and they don't have people running it that have the ability to actually run a business. Their communication, quality control and overall customer service is horrendous! Stay away at all costs!! Now...as far as the design flaw is concerned with the door latches, I let both my salesperson (Mike Goldberg) and Joel Sporn (owner) know I would like to get out of this car and into a Grand Cherokee. Mike prices a new one above invoice for me...nice huh? After all that. So I email Joel. Joel asks me to pick out a car and he will give me his final price. So Mike calls me again with the same price he gave me the first time....over invoice!! Bottom line....they don't care. No help whatsoever!! So there is no way I'm keepin this car after all this. I go to Town and Country Jeep in Levittown. Walk in off the street and they beat Joel's price by one thousand dollars (give or take). Nice, huh?? In the end I traded the car at Smithtown Nissan for a Pathfinder since there was a $2,000 rebate on it. They gave me the same $28K for my Wrangler that Mike Goldberg at Westbury offered and priced their car $200 below invoice. It was a better deal all around. Bottom line; avoid Westbury. They are too big. Joel Sporn is a super nice guy and I totally believe he's good people. I just don't think he has any control over what goes on at his own dealership. As for the Service, re-read what I wrote above. Westbury Service is the biggest joke of a Service department I've ever encountered, and I've encountered many as we turn cars pretty often at my house. No one there has a clue. More
IT HAS BEEN OVER TWO WEEKS SINCE I PURCHASED A JEEP FROM WESTBURY. I HAD VISITED OTHER DEALERSHIPS AND DIDN'T GET A GOOD VIBE FROM OTHERS. WHEN I WALKED INTO WESTBURY I MET ALEX AND HE SHOWED ME WHY WESTB WESTBURY. I HAD VISITED OTHER DEALERSHIPS AND DIDN'T GET A GOOD VIBE FROM OTHERS. WHEN I WALKED INTO WESTBURY I MET ALEX AND HE SHOWED ME WHY WESTBURY IS THE BEST DEALERSHIP IN THE NORTHEAST. HE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY, WE SAT DOWN AND I EXPLAINED TO HIM WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. AT THE TIME THERE WASN'T ANYTHING THERE THAT I WANTED BUT WE SPOKE WITH HIS SALES MGR CHRIS AND WITHIN A WEEK ALEX CALLED ME BACK WITH GOOD NEWS. I WENT TO LOOK AT THE VEHICLE AND THERE WERE A FEW THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE BUT ALEX NOTED DOWN ALL THE FLAWS I SAW AND SURE ENOUGH THE NEXT TIME I SAW THE CAR ALL THE FLAWS WERE GONE. I WAS AMAZED AT HOW IT LOOKED. EVEN THOUGH THE DEAL TOOK A FEW WEEKS TO COMPLETE DUE TO MY WORK SCHEDULE ALEX WAS MORE THAN HELPFUL OVER THE PHONE TO GET THINGS DONE. ERIC THE FINANCE MGR WAS VERY NICE AND EXPLAINED ALL THE OPTIONS AND THINGS IN THE FINANCIAL PROCESS AND ANSWERED ALL THE QUESTIONS I HAD. I HAD HEARD SOME GOOD REVIEWS FROM OTHERS ABOUT WESTBURY BUT AFTER FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THEY HAVE AN AMAZING STAFF THAT IS THERE TO MAKE SURE THE CUSTOMER IS SATISFIED WITH THEIR PURCHASE. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND OTHERS TO GO TO WESTBURY JEEP IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A JEEP. More

I purchased a 2007 GC from a lovely lady Regina who no longer works there, shame too she was easy on the eyes. The purchase went smoothly and was very happy. This was when the dealership was at a differen longer works there, shame too she was easy on the eyes. The purchase went smoothly and was very happy. This was when the dealership was at a different location in a small building. Now they are a few blocks from where they use to be in a brand new building. But I'll get into that later. The Service department is a nice distance away from the dealership but it didn't bother me. The service department staff was always amazing to deal with. Loaners whenever I requested although the loaner appointments would be further into the future than a service appointment without requesting a loaner. But I think that may be anywhere. The waiting area is nice, comfortable chairs, computers, wifi, tvs. They have a really smooth operation going on over there, very organized. You'd think you were at a bmw or mercedes service department. Kudos for that. I recently went back into the dealership to get pricing on a 2011 GC. It was a completely different experience. I was a "walk-in" just came in after test driving a bmw across the street. Was curious was the price on the jeep was before I signed paperwork on the BMW. I met with this young guy who seemed like he just started. They appraised my car, never told me what they were offering for it. When I asked him he said he'd have to go to the "DESK" and find out. The desk is where the managers sit to give pricing etc. They are the brain of the operation, the sales people are just middle men. Anyway, he came back and gave me an around number. He then said well the deal isnt going to work because of your pay off and what we are giving you. I said well I'm going to put 10,000 down. He replies oh well I guess I should have asked you that. I'm saying to myself, I might as well just walk out now, but I really wanted a price. So he comes back with this piece of paper and turns it facing me. Its like a dealership made up paper in how they present numbers to you. So the first row may be a lease, the 2nd may be a finance etc. So my quote was on the 5 or 6th row. It pretty much was your monthly payment will be between XXX and XXX the numbers don't matter they werent terrible and the gap was only about 10-15 a month. But it was a balloon payment for 59 months with a final payment of 12k for the 60th month. I told him I just wanted a straight out lease. He said the payment would be a lot higher and kept insisting this was the best way to go. I was like oh whatever, what interest rate is this based on? he didn't know and didnt go to the desk to ask. I asked what is it based on perfect credit? usually when numbers are presented to you the dealership will always assume you have a perfect score 750 fico or higher. He said its based on decent credit, i said what is decent credit, he replied you know. I said well my score is in the high 600's low 700's i want a number that will reflect what I will get approved for. I pretty much gave up at that point because I just felt like it wasnt the same dealership anymore from when I brought from them 4 years ago. Not saying beware but saying becareful. Chrysler financial is no more so they have to go to credit unions, gmac, and others to finance and lease their cars. I could see that as being a hassle. More
Stay far away from this dealership, they are nothing short of liars and thieves. They put on the full court press in trying to get you sign. I finally gave them a $500 deposit based on their promise t short of liars and thieves. They put on the full court press in trying to get you sign. I finally gave them a $500 deposit based on their promise that they could get the vehicle I wanted. Once they got the $500 they never returned a phone call to discuss the specifics of the vehicle I wanted. I wanted to tell them what color interior I had chosen and they ignored me. When I finally went back in and demanded my money back they refused and claimed they had a vehicle. When I asked them about the vehicle they had it was the wrong color interior. This was the classic bait and switch. When I refused to take the wrong vehicle they were incredibly rude and refused to refund my money. Although I left feeling like I had been robbed, I learned of this site and prepared a review. Before submitting it I again called the dealer and explained that I was writing this review. They immediately said that they had already processed my refund. That too was a lie. They never refunded the money and never got me the car. When I again called them today I spoke to Dan McCarville. He blamed everything on me but said nonetheless his dealership does not keep deposits and that I could count on him as a man of his word. He apologized that I had not reieved my refund and explained it was a paperwork mix up and they would immediately process the refund. Later in the day Mr. McCarville called me back to say the General Manage Keith Donelly said they would only refund $300 dollars and that I had to come in and sign a release to get it. This is the type of game they play if you have any type of dispute with them. More

I was a car manager/salesman for over 13 years and recently retired due to a medical illness. I did not sell Jeeps. I shopped around to get a good deal and went to a few dealerships. I was referred to recently retired due to a medical illness. I did not sell Jeeps. I shopped around to get a good deal and went to a few dealerships. I was referred to Westbury Jeep by a friend. They knew that I had sold cars. I was very impressed with this dealership in how they did their business. Both the salesman Irving & Finance Manager Arnie bent over backwards to put a deal together for me that met my needs. They were friendly, professional & knew their product. They made me feel at home. I only wish that my previous dealership would have been run this way. I will refer this dealship to my family & friends. As I live on Fire Island, all my neighbors must drive an SUV. And the car of choice is Jeep & will certainly tell them about Westbury Jeep. More

After researching the car I wanted, I went to Westbury Jeep because I didn't want the stereotypical "car dealer" experience. Working with Michael Goldberg & Arnie Price was even better than I hoped. I purchased a Chrysler 300 in August of 2009 from this dealership and the service and support I got from the sales side was outstanding, but that's to be expecting when you're buying the car. Since the dealership and the service and support I got from the sales side was outstanding, but that's to be expecting when you're buying the car. Since then, I've had some issues with the vehicle, most notably a recurring issue with the Tire Low Lamp coming on. I brought this to the service location and was helped very thoroughly by Carmine, he had the tires filled air and I was on my way. A few days later, the light came on again, I brought it back and Carmine was extremely helpful and had them look at the sensor to correct the problem. A few days later, the light came on again... brought it back to Carmine who was extremely helpful and found that the problem was in the fact that I had actually had a nail in my tire which caused some damage, so I had to get a new tire. This past week I started getting the same tire low lamp on my car and figuring that it had to do with the cold air we've been having, I filled it up myself and the lamp went off. 2 days later the lamp came back on. I called Carmine who set up an appointment for me, had me come in and quickly and easily took care of this for me, I ended up having another nail in my tire. In life, things happen... apparantly Im a magnet for nails in my tires, but what's important is that things are taken care of and resolved before they become an even bigger nightmare for me to deal with. Carmine has consistently done an excellent job resolving all of my issues and always makes my coming to their service department a pleasurable experience. In today's world where people are more often quicker to complain than compliment and with us in a time of Holiday spirits, I hope this letter finds its' way to one of his bosses so they can factor his stellar customer satisfaction into a nice holilday bonus.
