I brought my can in for brakes, oil change, and a water leak into the car. They did the brakes and oil change and said a drain was clogged. The cost to clean the drain was for labor only and would be $499. leak into the car. They did the brakes and oil change and said a drain was clogged. The cost to clean the drain was for labor only and would be $499. The back floor behind the front passenger seat was getting wet. I agreed to fixing this. After lengthy discussion, they agreed to keep the car overnight so the carpet would have a chance to dry. Believing the problem was taken care of, I took the car home the next day. My mistake was believing all was well. A week later it rained. A day or two later, the car began to have a mildew odor. I picked up the floor mats. Now both sides of the carpet in the back seat were wet and mildew was growing. I brought the car back. While Liz, the customer service person, was agreeable, she was not there the day the car went in. I had to deal with Roberto, the service manager, who is rude and unresponsive. While I pointed out that the sun roof was not sitting flush on the car and seemed to be dropped below where it should be, the service advisor Andrew, said he was not sure if it should be that way but would be checked. They told me that this leak was a completely different problem. That "debris' was in the roof channel and caused it to leak. Isn't it a coincidence that the sunroof was not set in the roof the correct way and loh and behold, when I got the car back it had been "readjusted". I was told when the car was first brought in, the service person NEVER opened the sun roof and that all work was done from inside. If this is the case, there is something very wrong with the construction of this car that the roof would just drop . I have NEVER opened the roof. Andrew told me that I could take the car home, although still wet and moldy. After numerous calls, Roberto finally came to the phone and said the carpet would be cleaned and I could pick up the car the next day. I spoke to Liz the next day. She was once again pleasant. She said to keep the car there all day so the carpet would be dry when I took it home. Needless to say, took the car home. Looked inside. Seemed all right. Mats were on the carpet with the Penske paper mats on top. The next night it rained. Checked the carpet. Carpet was wet. Not from the rain but because they had put the rubber backed mats on a damp carpet. Carpet smells. Have contacted corporate customer service. Have contacted Westbury and still waiting for a response. The only reason this place is getting ONE star from me is because I can't give them ZERO stars. I had problems with them when I work done on a Toyota Echo. I was told certain things had to be done or I would because I can't give them ZERO stars. I had problems with them when I work done on a Toyota Echo. I was told certain things had to be done or I would be at risk of death. They swore they needed to replace my brake rotors for an exorbitant price and that if they were trimmed they brakes wouldn't work properly and be a serious risk to my life. When I told them that due to the estimate I would be going someplace else the service rep I was speaking to was suddenly ok with resurfacing the rotors- even though he felt it would be putting my life at risk! When I questioned his change of mind he told me that Toyota "didn't want to lose my business." I have since left Toyota- however this past week my mother's car was in for a brake service. No problems- just replacing the brake pads and resurfacing the rotors. This cost me $300 at my regular mechanic- it cost her $900 at Toyota. To top it off- the next day we took a road trip. GUESS WHAT. The mechanic forgot to attach the brakes to the van when he was done working on them! The brakes came off the car at 60mph on a highway- and suddenly the brakes failed and we had no ability to stop the car. Talk about heart stopping! Our van was bucking, jumping, and nearly rolled more than once as we desperately tried to stop a van with NO BRAKES on a busy highway. My mother and I, along with several others who were driving on the highway near us, could all have been killed! Yes, they towed our van from the towing company to the New Rochelle dealership- the next day. That's about the only thing they did promptly! They replaced the brakes that were destroyed- and ONLY the brakes. We had to ask them MORE THAN ONCE to check the REST of the car to make sure it wasn't damaged. They also pointed out that despite the fact that the rims and hubcaps on what was previously a mint-condition van are now scratched and damaged they have no intention of fixing anything that isn't "structural." Apparently the fact that our now scratched up minivan has "cosmetic" problems they don't see as a problem! To add insult to injury the minivan was not at Westbury Toyota- it was at a Toyota service center in New Rochelle New York over an hour away- rather than towing the car to Westbury as a courtesy they expected us to go back and drive over an hour away to pick up the van. Three days later they had finally checked the ENTIRE van for "structural damage" related to our hair-raising experience and predictably found nothing that concerned them. We are still waiting for word on any compensation due to the incredibly poor brake service that was done despite the large amount of money we paid. When the service rep found out what had happened (despite our calling earlier and letting Westbury Toyota know-he apparently had no idea what had happened.) He wanted to know how happy we were with our brake service. When he found out what had happened and that we expected compensation he became very unpleasant and rude on the phone. Haven't had the van checked out by another mechanic yet but that is on my to-do list! MAJOR FAIL TOYOTA! More
I am so pleased with the service that I received at Westbury Toyota. My salesperson was wonderful and I would highly recommend Ralston to anyone seeking to purchase a vehicle. My visit was prompted Westbury Toyota. My salesperson was wonderful and I would highly recommend Ralston to anyone seeking to purchase a vehicle. My visit was prompted by the need to purchase a larger vehicle due to our growing family. Ralston was friendly and professional. I was also impressed by the showroom. I was able to walk around both inside and outside without feeling the pressure that other dealerships tend to apply to potential buyers. With Ralston's help I found the perfect Sienna for our family (inclusive of 2 soon to be 3 active boys). I was also excited when I learned that I could add a few extra features to the financing with ease(i.e. monitor, sensors, etc.). They took the time with me to show me the monthly price difference with and without the additional choices, so that I could make an informed decision. Our family loves our new car. Thanks from the growing family on the go. More
My car had brake problems less than a month after they installed my brakes. The shop manager refused to look at my car and insisted they could not set up any appointments on the days I had off. After an h installed my brakes. The shop manager refused to look at my car and insisted they could not set up any appointments on the days I had off. After an hour of arguing, they finally looked at my car and in under 5 minutes found the brakes did not match the shims on the car. They then charged me for new parts that they should have advised me I needed when they initially installed the brakes. The service technician was very nice and helpful, but the manager was less than helpful (refusing weekend and walk-in appointments when I was prepared and willing to wait around 6+ hours) More

twice now have gone into service dept without an appointment and they still gave me the fastest service and are quite courtsous serviceing the car. They do not try and sell a service not needed, the appointment and they still gave me the fastest service and are quite courtsous serviceing the car. They do not try and sell a service not needed, they just remind you that the service within the noted milage is available. I am handicapped and each time i leave the service area, all employees make the car available to me and offer to install my left foot gas pedal. although i had not origanally purchased my car at this dealership, i will not hestistte in buying or leasing my next car here. If the sales department is anything like the service department, mark my next car sold or leased., More
Brought my parents car in for service. 2007 camry with 14K miles. Battery kept dying out. The car was two months out of warranty so I had to pay 150 for a new battery. Also did a transmition drain and 14K miles. Battery kept dying out. The car was two months out of warranty so I had to pay 150 for a new battery. Also did a transmition drain and fill, oil change and a coolant change. I was told the price for the transmition drain and fill was $80, Coolant was $60 and had a coupon for a free oil change. I expected the total amount to be 290 plus tax. Prior to leaving he printed out an estiimate stating $300? I asked him why, it should be 290 plus tax? He proceeded to check his calculator and told me yes about 300 and I asked him again...but it is 290 plus tax, right? He said ya, about 300. So I signed and left....BIG MISTAKE. Came back at the end of the day. My bill was $20 higher than it should of been. Noticed that I was charged $80 for the coolant change. After a 30 minute wait the 'customer relations manager' and myself are infront of Mr. Salas. Who then procedes to tell me that he told me the price was $70 and that I had signed off on a subtotal that stated $300 so he was only going to decrease the amount by $10. I proceeded to tell him that he told me $60, and then this arogant guy tells me he knows what he said...right??? thats why he charged me $80. Then I bring to both of their attention that they are running an advertised special on a billboard hanging in their waiting room for a spring special $59.99 for coolant and oil change, a top of all fluids, all hoses, tires and brake check, a fraction of the services I received. Then I told the both of them to put me under that promotion. Both of them said I was not eligible because I used a free coupon for the oil change. So I proceeded to tell them, ok....charge me for the oil change and put me under the promotion, because it will still come out cheaper....tell me why the 'customer relations manager' had nothing to say, and Mr. Salas, very arogantly states....well he signed for $300 so that is what he is being charged. Are you kidding me???? These people must be crazy???? I took the bill and paid and left after waisting and hour and fifteen minutes to pick up my parents car. Ridiculous......NEVER EVER will this car go there again, or will this place be recomended....this guy was one of the most arogant people I have met. Let them keep the $10 they over charge and under serviced me for. Let see how much longer he will have his way at that job, once I get finished letting enought people know about what happened. More
Earlier today, I brought my vehicle into the service department of Westbury Toyota for their so called "Yellow Service" which is what they call their 5,000 mile service check and oil change. I had m department of Westbury Toyota for their so called "Yellow Service" which is what they call their 5,000 mile service check and oil change. I had my own synthetic motor oil and TRD oil filter, so I brought this to the attention of the service advisor, and he said that the price of the oil and the filter would be deducted from to the total price of the service. When my service invoice was written up, I noticed that in addition to being charged $3.98 for a 16 oz. bottle of windshield washer fluid concentrate (Autobarn and Strauss charge .99 cents for a 1 gallon bottle of windshield washer fluid), I was in fact charged $6.95 for an oil filter. I should not have been charged for an oil filter as I had supplied my own filter, and since the cost of the oil is included in Westbury Totoya's "Yellow Service", I should have been given an additional credit for the oil which I supplied. Although I was initially told by the service advisor that I was not being charged for the oil filter, upon calling someone higher up in the service department's "chain of command", I was told that I was in fact charged for an oil filter. They agreed to deduct the price of the oil filter from my invoice, but they refused to credit me for the oil. They also refused to remove the outrageous charge for windshield washer fluid. Other Toyota service departments top off their customer's windshield washer fluid reservoir free of charge, but this Westbury Toyota has to nickle and dime their customers by charging them for this service! I will never bring my car into Westbury Toyota's Service Deparment again, and when it is time to replace my car with a new one, I will take my business elsewhere! More
